How about making the ambiance lean more towards the elegant/gorgeous type furniture you’ve already used? You can use a darker floor (fancy floor tile comes to mind) and use coloured lights instead of regular white/yellow lights, eg. red tasseled lantern or refurbished exotic lamp to set the vibe. You can replace the couch with the gorgeous sofa. Even parts of the card set would work really well for a casino. You can also display some artwork items to make it seem more glamorous, like a statue or artifact.

If you are going for a more grimy looking underground casino, I would ditch some of the nicer furniture. Throw in some cardboard boxes in there, neon lights, sack of money (or Boston bag?), etc . I would still turn off the main light switch and use coloured lighting instead though! Maybe put a vintage phone or a black phone in there? You can google “speakeasy poker room” for some good examples and adjust how fancy or grimy you want it to look.

One of the post office savings prizes is a briefcase full of cash. Gonzo's rv has more stuff that might be in a shady casino's back room.

Lighting. Thou with the windows allowing natrual sunlight to come in, it would be hard. The basement would make for an excellent lighting room. The basement has no windows so you can put some red lights in there to give it a classy yet dark kind of casino. I always imagine illegal casinos as dark and dimly lit. Items like the lava lamp recolour add a nice dim color to the room.

For a classy casino, the furniture could be redone as red or black, like modern and sleek furniture, Gracie's winter Gorgeous series if you can afford it. Also make use of some QRs if you can. Lots of people have made some really cool HHD QRs for casinos.

If the casino is bright and the entrance is like a fa?ade or cover up to the illegal stuff in the back, make it very bright in the entrance. Lots of neon lights, things that make noise, game machines, stools for the games, a red rug or lobby rug from Boris' RV(?) and even maybe a mini bar. The gorgeous wall you have now would be perfect for the main entrance as well.

If the casino is more grungy, dark dirty stuff, like the charcoal floor, ramshackle floor or the lab floor all which looks dirty. Sloppy furniture as well which you can get from ReTail. Maybe a mini fridge, everyone gets thirsty after a long day of illegal things.

If you plan on having the back room, things like the corner surrounded by jail bars may be playful. Like everyone else is saying, how you use the lights/shades adds the atmosphere in general. If it's the basement or backroom, just one blue light gives the room suspicious look. Or, the combination of fuzzy red light like gorgeous lamp and blue light works good too.

These are all great ideas! Thank you so much! :D
Im going for the posh with lots of money invested look so your ideas are good suggestions, I probably will change the floor and add a better couch, i do have the red gorgeous lamp which irl gives it a red look but its hard to see with my lighting sadly but it really works like two of you have said! The back is an illegal bar and im trying to make my house have as little technology (the arcade machines are supposed to represent slot machines). Also @Stella-Io do you happen to know where the qr codes are? All good if not :)
:D

For QR codes I typically find them on tumblr. I don't have any of the codes on me thou.

Lavalamps are a great way to get a bit of color when the light is off. Just go to cyrus to get it customized so you can have a different color if you want!

Also don't forget Gracie's sale Card furniture! I'd say have some coins on the ground around the slots, and maybe put in a mannequin of a showgirl server with the Festivals headdress and a waiter outfit, haha. Maybe the Colorful Wheel furniture and a Toy Hammer + Scale to suggest one of those strength test games. You might also like the Bingo Wheel item, Safe, Treasure Chest, and a few Security Cameras. Maybe a skeleton behind the bar if you're really feeling creepy, haha.

All of the casinos I’ve gone to - no high end ones so your mileage may vary - had gross carpeting so I’d suggest some type of carpeting that’s patterned.

Great ideas here! Not sure if anyone suggested partitions, but I use them to make parts of rooms look a little more private. I like the variety of partitions in this game. Check Moridb to find them; many are orderable, too! Let us see a photo when you get it the way you like it, please.

I believe a few people have stated things like this before, but here are some thoughts:

1. Buy some furniture/decor that's super fancy! If there are illegal operations, there's bound to be a ton of money. For carpeting/wallpaper, the fancy carpet, plush carpet, plaza wall/floor, tartan rug, and exotic wall/floor would probably look nice. As for furniture, the rococo set, card set, and gorgeous set all look like they belong in a crooked casino.
2. Don't forget the literal money furniture. E.g. the briefcase, safe, sacks of money, etc.
3. When in doubt, catch some sharks and use them as decor.

I hope some of this may be of use to you!

The olive oil can look like a bottle of wine and the fruit drink can be a cute mixed beverage! Every casino needs drinks c:

Hey I'm making a casino in my house too!
I used Gracie grace's Card carpet and am searching for the Backgammon wall. Those might be helpful to you. I also put the Sacks of cash and Mountain of Money in my casino as well as using the Sleek Chair customized in red to place in front of all the tables and machines. I also included an ABD machine, and put around a few Fruit drinks customized green so that they resemble absinthe.

The only thing that sucks about making a realistic casino is that most of the really useful items are from the Welcome amiibo update and might be hard to get :(

I'm also going for a Monte Carlo vibe, might be helpful if you google image search the type of casino you want to replicate.
