I'm at a loss for words. This is the second worst lone gunman attack in history (up there with Anders Breivik, Omar Mateen & Martin Bryant).
The shooter was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock.
It is also unknown what the motives were, but it's though that perhaps ISIS was involved.

It was during a concert and witnesses thought that the automatic gunfire was fireworks.

This is horrible.
I feel for the victims. What is wrong with today's world? Pray for Las Vegas.

I woke up and I read about this. Ruined my morning.

It was at a country music festival with over 30,000 attendees.
The crowd was scared. I saw a video with people covering.

Prayers and condolences for the victims and
for the families and friends of the victims.

Just what I like waking up to. There are 200 injured as well. This is terrible.

As someone working at a Casino right now, and after having to take an Active Shooter class to be prepared for that kind of situation, it's terrifying to read about...

Yeah, I saw the news this evening.
I don’t even know what people do about this, but it needs to be stopped.
I can’t believe more than 50 are dead.
I pray for them and Las Vegas.
This makes me so scared to go to a big music festival or concert soon.

dude wtf is wrong w people who do this kind of stuff

like dont things suck more than enough already

I'm also completely gobsmacked that it was an ELDERLY person. This proves that it isn't only the youth of today that is ****ed up. :/

If only the crowd had guns

It would've been too hard to get him. Apparently he was in a high rise hotel building.
And anyway, considering the crowd weren't military-trained, they would've hurt each other more than him.

Yeah, sorry, should have marked the sarcasm. My bad!

it feels so surreal waking up, yet again to 50+ people dead in a shooting. It's awful beyond words. Praying for victims and their families. :(

So, since I live under a rock, I've never even heard of this yet.
Terrorists are called that way for a reason.
They want to be known
They want to strike Terror and Fear to those who stand against them.
They want people to know how strong they are, to join their so called "cause".
Obama was so damn stupid to call a war on a damn belief. And beliefs don't end (at least, for a VERY long time)
But in reality, this is how life works.
I pray for those who were in the concert shooting, even though I havent got a clue what is going on.

I don't think that ISIS was involved anymore. After more research, I think it was a "random" act of violence. This is still very harrowing, though.

ALSO GUYS. Don't just pray; do something or feel something. Feel emotion -- anger, sadness. Donate to any charities set up for the victims' recoveries.
I would donate myself if they did set up a charity but I can't because I'm Australian and I have no money, unfortunately. :/

This makes me so upset. This is now the worst mass shooting the US has ever seen and my heart bleeds for all the victims and their families. The US has to review its gun control laws and make some serious changes. There can't be any excuses. The laws should have been changed after Sandy Hook.

How about earlier? Columbine. Virginia Tech. But no, the congress still wants the citizens to bear arms.

BUT MUH RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS :'(

I hate to tell you, but passing gun laws aren't really going to stop attacks like this. Think of Charlottesville. That was not just a deadly terror attack, but it was done by a drive-in and not by a shooting. Criminals will always find a way around.
