Getting signatures from other towns?

So today one of my villagers asked me to get some signatures for something really random, a shoe lace instruction manual or something? XD he wants me to get 6 signatures from people from other towns, but I don't really have anyone who I can ask.
Would anyone on here help me out? I'm not sure how it works, would I need to pay you in TBT for a signature? Just let me know!

Oh yeah, you've just got to go to other people's towns and ask for signatures from other villagers.
