Zen-themed main room

I have a Zen/Japanese themed town and I would like to fit my living room with the theme and house exterior.
Any ideas?
What furniture should I use?
I wanna display all my villagers pictures in the living room as well.
I already have them all on glass-top tables
Is Shoji screen best to use?

Get a shoji screen with a tatami flooring. For furniture, I like to use the large lantern with an outdoor bath and various bonsai plants to fill one corner area. Then, I use katanas, darumas, a shamisen and a screen for other areas. That's just a vague idea of Japanese style arrangements.

I like the bamboo grass for zen rooms, providing you can obtain one, its a japan only DLC.

I've got a modern take on this in my own house. I've got the shoji screen and the exotic screen, exotic table, lots of bonsai, and the fish flag thingy. I don't have the masks on the walls 'cuz I find 'em creepy, but I go have the shoji screen and the Simple Floor, since the light wood planks look reminiscent of what you find in many modern Japanese apartments.

I don't think I'd have room to fit in an outdoor bath Thank you though for the recommendations, I'll definitely use them. I don't have a shamisen however, unfortunately.

Hmmm I think the Kadomatsu works better but I'll try and get my hands on one hehe
