I find this thread too expensive. Most villagers (unless they are tier 1,2, or 3) are sold for around 150-300 or free. All clothing, wallpaper, flooring, accessories,shoes,hats, and furniture are usually sold for no more than 15 tbt if they are unorderable. Orderable stuff is usually 1-3 tbt per. And the usual tbt prices (from what I've seen anyways) are 8-12 million bells per 100, so for 50 would be around 4-6 million.

You're underpaying the tbt prices. 100 igb = 100 tbt..and tbt is worth a lot so I advice you not to waste it ^-^

Tiers are popularity levels for villagers. Some villagers are more popular so they tend to be more expensive and there tends to be more competition over them, whereas some villagers don't really have many people interested in them. Basically, Rod and Shep are Tier 4 (slightly popular), Sprinkle and Cherry are Tier 2 (very popular), and Nan is Tier 5 (bottom of the barrel).

I want to add, I'd be really interested in getting Nan. Do you mind doing a connection test first? I have lots of trouble getting my game to connect to other people's towns and I don't want to waste my time or yours if it turns out that we can't get our games to connect at the last minute. Also, is she original? I don't mind if not but I'd rather know in advance.

I PMed you about her earlier so I'm sorry if that's repetitive but I figured that it would be neater to post it here.

I thought we were doing a connection first? Please don't move Nan out yet, like I said, I don't even know if the connection is going to work. Also, like I said in the PM I sent you earlier, I also need to move out one of my villagers. That should be quick but basically I need to know if our towns can even connect, since it's happened to me before that it wasn't possible for me to take people's villagers or vice-versa because it wasn't working. I'm not really in a hurry to have her since I don't have my hopes up by this point, so I don't want you to end up stuck with a villager in boxes if I can't visit you. I also have to go within the next 15 or so minutes and I don't know how long it takes you to move her out?
