Hello everyone i wanted to know everyone's thoughts about the new update personally me i think it made the game even better! i hope they keep giving us new updates <3

I really like the new update!! :D They really did a good job luring people back in muwahaha. The only thing I wish they could've added was DLC content for those outside Japan... oh well ^^
Though sadly, I think it might be the only update New Leaf is getting :c

EDIT: I know they released the white festive tree, which is very pretty, but I wish they would release more items, like maybe one a month or something? I dunno

Love it. Especially the Desert Island Escape game. That gives you something to do at night when stores are closed.

It made me go back to playing the game again because of the new villagers and a more streamlined way of decorating rooms via touchscreen.

Before the update if i can even remember a time i'd actually started to lose interest in the game and I found myself playing past titles rather than new leaf because I just didn't feel like dealing with it, if i'm honest. Then when the update came out I was so excited to see all the new additions to the game and it really brought me and my siblings back to new leaf again. I think the update was needed tbh and I love how you can sell your town for some extra bells. I always hated starting over with basically nothing. (although I never took clothes with me) The first thing I did when I heard about the update was delete my old town of Milk because I wanted to see how much I'd get for it, if I were to delete and I just decided to go for it. The update really makes me feel like Nintendo are listening to us. :)

They basically made the game feel brand new to me. They didn't do anything in this update that I don't like. I wasn't a fan of the MEOW coupons at first but I like them now.

I'll be honest here, I feel this was a move for Nintendo to save itself after the Amiibo Party fiasco. What I'm rather impress'd by is how much they bounce'd back with this update. Certainly it's great for this already 4-year ol' game to get some life inject'd into it, but it probably wasn't from Nintendo's good will.

I'll take whatever they throw at us, but from what I see this update isn't somethin' we should get comfortable with.
In the end, I'm still grateful for the update.

I feel exactly the same way the update was never about pleasing the fans of the series it was to ry and bring back players who had been pushed away after the disaster of amiibo party and the failure of HHD

I love almost everything about the update. I love that there are new villagers, I love the fact you can use cards to get back villagers you miss or like, or to kick out ones you want our, and I love not only the new items, but the fact balloons now drop other stuff besides balloon furniture. I also absolutely LOVE the way you can shake trees while holding a net so you can catch bees the second the hive hits the ground, instead of having to run away and pull the net out quick.

The ONLY detail I really don't care for is that now it takes villagers SO LONG to move away. It's a good safety-net if a villager you want to keep is trying to move, but dear god it makes the villagers you hate stay for so much longer.

Literally amazing, 11/10. I wish they could add more, but I could see the hard work and dedication to make that update. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the RVs! You can get special items from special characters, also MEOW coupons are a great idea too! Gotta catch up on those rare items! :) I <3 The amiibo update, I had gotten some amiibo cards, and getting my Favorite characters to move it in easy as PIE! Also, it is WAY easier to get vintage pictures from them. (I have a lot of them now). I can't wait to get more cards and also I can't wait to get the RV cards. Desert Island escape was also a great idea! Although it could use a "bit" more features.

The only disadvantages about the update is that you'll need an NFC Reader/Writer and some amiibo cards..

Costing about at least $20 USD or more. And you'll need these for 60% of the update. :(

The "Welcome amiibo" update renewed interest in playing the "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" game.

I personally did not stop. "Happy Home Designer" did not engage me as much. And so I extended myself with creating additional towns, without repeating any villagers, with a few more cartridges.

"Welcome amiibo" threw me for a loop with requiring us to establish new Dream Addresses. (I have "Re-Introduction" threads on two of my signature-listed towns, Applewin and ACNLpics.) I changed the appearances of a few rooms to make a human's house seem more interesting.

I think this "Welcome amiibo" update was smart and creative of Nintendo. It definitely makes that company even more money. (Although the amiibo cards did seem more like collectors' items…before we received the update of "Welcome amiibo.")

I love the update! I'm amazed by how much they added and all of the little details they added, like sitting on rocks. They're finally not useless!

And the returning AC villagers, all of the Amiibo villagers. And Sanrio! Being able to link HHD to get a secret storage room, plus all of the new items. Sure, it's little more than a cash grab for Nintendo, with all of us willing to throw down the money for the cards and figures, but at least we're getting something pretty effing good out of it.

Surprised! I never knew they were going to make an update in years! But the update was so good! I love the Camp because there are items there that I absolutely love! I thought they could do better with the amiibo features, but desert Island escape made up for that. Desert Island Escape is so fun! The sad thing is you have to get it from an amiibo you invited to camp or summoned from wisp. I'm glad they did this update though, because villagers wont move on paths, and I can invite villager in town with amiibo cards, and make some move away anytime! I even get to have the vintage pictures of main characters! Since I have their amiibo cards. Hopefully they keep making more updates like this, because I can't wait for the next one. And hopefully they make a new animal crossing game soon.

What I'm really disappointed about thought it that you have to have amiibo cards for most features, and some of the achievements are impossible (for MEOW coupons). But I guess I shouldn't be complaining.

great! i love the new sets & items, the amiibo cards, old and new villagers and the CAT machine
i wish they added the ability to change your face and skin colour whenever you want like hhd has. that's a shame
also i wish the net glitch wasn't patched, and more love for the beach like putting pwp's on them would have been nice
