Your thoughts on Powersave 3DS?

I just found out this was a thing..

Someone(Not on here) asked if they can come to my town. This guy then states "I just bought this game 2 days ago" and I was wondering why he had so much bells and a lot of golden tools and then says, "Powersave 3DS" when I searched it I kind of feel like it ruins the whole game. You can get every furniture in the game including the Sloppy series, any clothes. Pretty much everything you can think of.. Fortunately, you cannot spawn up villagers, buildings or any of that nonsense. Although, based on my research, there are codes being made still and are in a work of progress..

I just wanna know, how do you guys feel about this?

I'm kind of annoyed by it. I'd rather play the game how it should be played.

It's not allowed here, but my opinions about it;

1. use Powersave if that's how you want to play it.
2. i guess you can use it to help other people?
3. you can use it on other sites, but dONT BRICK/SEED ANYONE'S GAME THAT'S JUST DAMN RUDE
4. no one ever knows if you're using it or not......
5. i dont care about legitimacy, i care more about legality. if you have an item that hadnt been released yet then obviously you cheated.

I personally play the game how it's meant to be played (I mean, without aid of the powersave thing). The only thing that would make me want to buy one of those is that I think I heard somewhere that it lets you backup your saves, and I'm terrified of my data corrupting and losing my town. That's all I'd use it for if I had it.

I don't really care who uses it personally, it's just not my thing. When I was like, 10 years old, I played all my PS1 games with Gameshark codes - it's kind of like that, isn't it? It's cheating/exploiting but whatever, people can do what they want on their own time. It's just not my thing.

I've run into people via tumblr who openly admit to duping and spawning items and whatnot, and one in particular bought a villager from me, then dropped a bunch of that stuff all over the ground in my town as thanks. And I appreciate the gesture, because though it's not allowed on TBT, he was still essentially giving me gifts - however illicitly obtained - so I just thanked him for his generosity and we went our separate ways. I have those items sitting in storage still and I'm not entirely sure what to do with them, though, because I'm not really comfortable putting them up in a sales thread but I have no use for them either. /shrug

I don't like power saves either, people either take it for helping others which is great! Also for the greediness and showing off, it takes the fun out of the games if you just get 1 bil bells and all the furniture you want!

Save: That's its purpose! Powersave is basically made to backup your game save and give you an advantage in the game for yourself.
Ruin: Hacks, they not only hurt the victim, they hurt the person who use or create them. The Powersave has the power to save your system, but can destroy it just as hard.

Personally, I think it's a good tool to use to prevent data corruption or losing villagers due to not playing for a few days. I'm annoyed that the software is PC only, though.

it's either very useful and people love it,
or it's abused and it can ruin your game.

i don't think using one is cheating, i think it can open the doors to a lot of good things, but that's just my opinion.

Eh I think it's ok. I've never personally used it, but it's nice to see when they are helping out other players.

I hate when people use it to interfere with online functions. For instance, Powersaving Pokemon, having illegal stats on MH4U gear, infinite bells for trade, etc. Although, I heard you can use it to backup your AC save and restore a point in time you'd like to return to in case a villager moved or something. Overall though, people seem to be abusing it. I spent a large amount of time trading Pokemon on the Gamefaqs and I guarantee most of the trades involved hacked Pokemon or items.

I generally avoid players I meet on the island who have no badges except the 100 million bell badge. Big red flag IMO. Surprisingly it seems like a very common occurrence.

It's his system, his game, and his powersave. He bought it all and he owns it. If he likes hacking so be it.
The problem arises only when people try to pawn it off as legit. That's just no fun.

Powersaves doesn't interact at all with the SD card. It interacts with the physical game cartridge.

Powersaves sound fun, but then I couldn't trade with anyone . I've always wanted to hack my City Folk, but my dad'd get mad.

I don't really care what people do. I wouldn't do it because it would take the fun out of it and when you show people your cool stuff, they'll be all like "oh wow you work so hard for this." and they be like "lol nah bro. just got it 5 secs ago"

But there are more important things to worry about what people do. Like rape and murder. Who's care how they play their game?
