What are your most luckiest moments in New Leaf?

I've never received my dreamies formally, like asking openly to adopt them, but it was by being at the right place at the right time. I've gotten Moe by browsing in his tag on Tumblr since he was moving from someone's town and I've gotten Carmen by posting in a cycling thread on Reddit. Someone said she was moving so they TTd to her move date and I adopted her. And both were free and the people I've adopted them from were so kind, they probably saved me months of searching T_T
Another thing is that Fauna moved in and I didn't realize how popular she was until I joined the whole villager trade thing. I'm guessing the hardest dreamie I need to get is Pekoe so Fauna's my only chance in getting her.

My luckiest moment was after I found Marcel a lovely owner, I time travelled back to present time after putting him into boxes. I noticed somebody in my camp, and guess who it was? ROSIE!!! <3
She moved in after 2 days ^^
I also got Marina and Merengue from the camp

While saving, I had accidentally shut my 3DS. I opened it, and it said, "Saving Complete. Have a nice day." Phew.

I think my luckiest moment would have to be when I was resetting maps for a good layout when making my new town, finally finding a layout that was almost perfect and then when I step out the station having both Erik and Bam greet their new mayor.
Then the 2nd day of playing Bam gifted me a Throne for delivering a package to him and then finding I had a turnip price of 659! So I could instantly make a load of bells.

today was a lucky one, Victoria told me she would be moving. She moved in less than a month ago and I wanted her gone immediately. This pleased me. I got 3 silver nuggets and a gold one (plus some amethyest or something) from my rock once. I only like the silver ones anyway...

Plus, whenever rococo furniture falls from a tree, only happened once for me though.

When after three weeks of map resetting for 4-5 hours daily, I decided to give up on my dream layout and was ready to accept quite a few non-ideal things as long as I got the river shape I wanted, circle grass and a facility-free upper right corner.

Then, all of sudden, my dream layout popped up. Re-Tail wasn't 100% awesome, but I had the perfect place for my plaza, straight slopes, the place for my mayor's house wasn't occupied by a villager, there were not that many ponds and the upper right corner was indeed free.

I was so scared because of the grass and tried to brace myself for a likely reset - but then I got indeed circle grass! And not only that; I also got peaches as native fruit, which I like the most as perfect ones and Isabelle gave me cherries, my favourite non-perfect fruit!

And I got Kabuki as starting villager (even though he'll have to leave because his house spot sucks).

So yes, dream layout! After all the hours of having-but-not-really-playing the game, I almost cried in happiness! (And now I'm too scared to place my permanent PWPs lol.)

Mine would have to be finding Skye in my campsite. I had no idea who she was before I found her there (I hadn't spent time on this site yet) and I had been wanting a wolf villager for a long time. Another time I lost an auction and noticed that the winner had to kick Felicity out to make room for the villager she had been bidding for (I think it was Kid Cat?). They agreed to let me adopt her and now I'm really happy to have a cat around, too.

I guess you could consider Whitney one of my luckiest moments since she was my first camper way back when. I had no idea how popular she was until a few months ago.

When I reset more than one month ago, I found my favourite character, Merengue, as one of my starting five.
I was ecstatic.
I also adopted Apple from this website.

I'd say my luckiest moment would be when someone was over, who I thought was my friend, started destroying everything, and my Wi-fi happened to be bad that day and it d/c'ed while they were over. (It's lucky because this was back when I was dumb enough to kick people out by saving, not flicking the Wi-fi switch.)

Mine was a couple of nights ago. I was diving for whatever I could find and I saw a largish fish shadow. Thinking it was a tuna, I went ahead and casually got up on the shore and fished for it... It was an OARFISH! I was so super excited!! lol

My luckiest moments were randomly getting Zell, Chief and Beau as my 6-8 villagers before I knew the reset trick.

I got Julian from a random move in, provided that I didn't StreetPass and didn't adopt him He also had his genuine catchphrase, clothing, and house.

Pretty much all my dreamies were a stroke of good luck.

Fuchsia: Got her from the campsite while resetting for someone else, then I messed up on the plot reset trick, but she moved into a great spot

Drago: Same way, but I was resetting for Pierce's plot

Julian: Got in a giveaway thread by sheer luck

Whitney: Got her in a giveaway thread to compensate for Molly glitching out of existence before I could pick her up from the trader

Pierce: Someone was trying to give him away while I was trying to make room for him, and the first person to ask to move was the other person's dreamy, so we both exchanged dreamies. I messed up resetting for his plot, but he moved into a better spot than I had planned

Cookie: Got her free from a kind soul

Molly: Someone offered her to me for free, but I had JUST got 10 villagers, so I tried TTing someone out and the very first person to ask was a non-dreamy

Elvis: I accidentally TT'd out Hamphrey, leaving me at 8 villagers and if I didn't get a replacement before the day rolled over, I'd be screwed with a random move-in. The only crankies I wanted to replace him with were either Elvis or Rasher, neither or which was in high demand. Then out of nowhere, someone had Elvis in boxes and the day was saved
