Your first town! :)

I still have my current town, since December 25th 2013. I was inactive on the game for the second half of 2014 pretty much and I was considering restarting when I came back but decided against it when I did come back

I reseted my first town because I lost my favorite villager Willow and was so heart broken about it haha, and besides my town was pretty bleh. But luckily, when I got my new town, Willow was there (:

That's what I did. I had my town for over a year and then Chadder moved out. I'd had him since day 3. I was so upset. Unfortunately right after I got him in my new town my SD card had issues and I had to start over AGAIN. So far everything is pretty awesome.

Unfortunately, I've restarted MoonLand (my first town). I knew NOTHING about plot resetting, map resetting, etc. so everything was ugly and all over the place. My house placement was horrendous and I could never change that. So I resetted again. And I reset once again and now I have a town I'm sticking with forever!

I've restarted like a zillion times, haha. But I'm gonna try not to reset my town this time!

My first town (Tartarus) got lost in a 3ds transfer.

I wasn't too miffed about it, but I still have a lot of good memories from that town.

I had my first town since a day after the release of the game, I reset it because I wanted a fresh start and my old town was so hard to landscape with. Abstract is a WAY better town for sure c:

I still have my first town, I have wanted to restart it in the past but I never have, I don't really like my mayors eyes that much, but I have so many badges that I wouldn't want to have to get again, but my house is all paid off and I have a lot of hybrids and bells, and most of my dreamies are on that town

Learning more about the game from these forums made me want to restart. I paid closer attention to my map setup (but not close enough, because I have SIX PONDS arghhhh -_-). If I could magically change my map but keep all other aspects of my town the same, I'd do it, but I'm not resetting for a third time. Nooooo, not after the debacle that was transferring everything I wanted to keep from my main town.

But the thing about me restarting is that I was only playing for a week or so beforehand, so I didn't have much to lose. The two default villagers I had from that first town were able to be regained (though one of them has since moved away from me - byebye Kidd, luh ya) so it wasn't nearly as big of a deal for me as it would be for many others.

I started my first town on August 5, 2013, and deleted it sometime around January/February 2014. The reason is because... Well, I loved the town to pieces, but I had no idea how to landscape. (Actually, I still don't. But I'm learning.) I let villagers move in wherever, and worked my paths around it, which led to some really awkward looking paths. I also made the mistake of building three bridges in the beginning of the game, then removing them when I wanted the fairy tale bridge suggestion... Only to find out that I could no longer build bridges in the places where I had previously put them, because now there was stuff in the way. (Stupid Isabelle!) So I was left with just one bridge in a town that really needed three, and... Yeah, it was pretty awful. So I restarted.

I really kinda regret restarting though, because ever since then, I've been unable to keep a town for longer than a few months! I get too frustrated with myself. >.<

I still have my first town since June 2013 and I will never restart it. I?m very happy with it, and I plan to have a new second town because I want more villagers and more houses to decorate^^

made my first town on dec 20 2013
i reset when i got my own ds since i was using my bros and tbh the town was messed up
ive reset a lot since then
i remember SOME of my first town tho. i remember cherries as the native fruit, cookie and stitches...also tia and tammy
good times. i had **** paths tho haha

I restarted my town because after seeing other towns and becoming more familiar with the game i was very underdeveloped and I wasn't as professional with my town r had given much thought. Plus my money management skills were unbelievably bad.

I've had my first town since June 9th 2014, day I got it. I won't ever reset it, I'm too sentimental. Honeymoo is a lovely place.

^ This ! ^

My first town, Applewin, was started (in real time) on August 17, 2013.

I have kept my first town because of all the time I invested in it; the museum having full displays of fossils, art, and majorities of fish and insects.

I wouldn't want to replace my first town and have to rebuild the museum.

I also like the layout of the town. I like the villagers. I like Public Works Projects. And my humans have houses with a really good inventory of furniture, a good amount refurbished, which are not perfect but are right for their personas. For anyone visiting in a Dream Address, you will find them all looking very different from each other with exception of one common bond: they each have all the villagers' pictures.

I have reset two towns: Progress and Temps. I did that because they were not working for me (long term). And it was a good decision because I have preferable maps, a good selection of villagers, and better potential. Replacing Progress is ACNLpics, which is a town with humans' houses displaying villager pictures. It's a town I don't actively play, lately, because of the theme houses being the top attraction. It also easy navigation; is set to July 17, 2014 (summer is appropriate for it); and is relaxing. In the town replacing Temps, which I named Foster, I'm currently in need of more Public Works Projects. The more I play, and set up even briefly repeated Public Works Projects, the more rapidly the villagers will make suggestions. (The town is missing a Lazy. That's my latest objective.) When I get Foster whipped into shape, I will establish for it a Dream Address. I love the map; and I hope it doesn't take me too much longer to get it going.

The thing about creating a new town is the blank canvas can be intimidating. But, what I love is the challenge of finding a map personally appealing for the player. That you're good with committing to a map that meets the guidelines one wants. And the starting villagers can feel really fresh (particularly if all five are ones who you haven't previously played with). Then the plot-resetting of those incoming villagers?slotted on you menu as Nos. 6, 7, and 8 (for all Villager Personalities) and, eventually, No. 9?can be satisfying. It can be satisfying because, when using the plot-resetting feature, you can decide on your Smug, your Uchi, and the a particular villager from the Villager Personality category you didn't have among your first five. (That is, if you didn't have among your first five starting villagers, on Day #01, a Cranky or a Snooty or a Lazy or a Normal or a Jock or a Peppy.)

This is a very good thread!
