Your favourite/least favourite villager personality?

Ok, my fav are normal villagers, and my least fav are the jocks.
Most normal villagers have cute lookd and they talk about cute and interesting things. Also they have a cute voice. It's not too annoying like the peppy one's and not too... Well, boyish? Like the snooty's.
Oh, and most important. THEY SUGGEST THE CUTEST PWPS.

But the jock villagers... Goddamnit, they are SO ANNOYING. They just talk about sports and boring things. Most of them have weird looks, their voice are incredibly annoying, and they suggest the ugliest PWPs. That's why i never got to have a jock in my towns.

Now, what's your fav/least fav villagers personalities and why?

My favorite personality is cranky. I love their deep voices and gruff attitudes, especially in the older games. I also like that most of them have neutral or frowning faces as a default, so when I can make them smile it makes me happy.

I like all of the personalities really, but if I had to pick a least favorite I guess it would be normals in New Leaf. They seem to have some of the more repetitive dialogue in the game so I prefer to only have one in my town at a time.

my favourite is either normal or lazy! a large portion of my favourite villagers are normal and so i definitely love their design but i also love how sweet they are! some might find them to be boring but to me, i like how motherly and timid they can be at times aha. and the lazies are adorable!! i can definitely relate to them with their love for food + just relaxing all day aha.

my least favourite definitely has to be smug, though; i’m not a huge fan of their appearance as there’s only maybe,, 5? that i like but my main issue with them is the dialogue - i practically have “you look as cool as a cucumber” embedded into my brain lmaoo

Okay, this is in the NL subforum so I can definitely say in this game jocks are my favorite. They were always fun to have around and my favorite villager in that game (Sterling) is still best Jock. If only they made his hobby education and kept his NL house in NH...

Least favorite would probably be smug. I never could click with any smug the game gave me (I had to force Wolf Link in so he doesn’t exactly count-I stand by my position that he should’ve been a jock tho). Plus the whole “looking like a fair number of cucumbers” shtick never was my cup of tea.

I don't feel like the personalities are terribly distinct in NL.... Everyone mostly feels like a normal imo. The villagers are all too nice and samey.

But if pressed, I'd say favorite is peppy and least favorite is normal, just because they're especially bland.

I like all of them tbh, I suppose I like peppy the least, just because they're the least unique (I can hardly tell peppy villagers apart from normal!)

I'm kinda tied with snooty and peppy. I really like their super high pitched voices and their energy!! And for snooty, I can relate to them a bit + although they can be seen as snobs, I just love how they can even have soft sides. It seems a lot more realistic

As for the least favorite, it's probably jock. I can't ever stand them tying literally every conversation to sports... Maybe I'd like them more if they weren't so jocky if that makes sense

I agree, normal villagers are honestly one of the best personalities, imo. Very kind, I always feel so pampered and cared for when I speak to Coco! always makes my day when I watch her do her little hobbies. I guess peppy/jock villagers are lower on the list for me, while I still find them to have cute, likeable personalities, I don't particularly like sports.

ETA: having said all of that below, the truth is I love ALL of my villagers and I don’t want any of them to leave.

It is hard for me to narrow it down to one favorite personality. I love my cranky, my normals and my smug. My cranky Kabuki is just so freaking adorable. My two normals (Merengue and Tia) are both so sweet. There is something about the smug personality I like; they make me laugh! And they are so flirty.

My least favorite personality type is probably uchi. My first uchi was Tammy and I couldn’t wait to get rid of her. Now I have Renee, and I keep hoping she will give me the wisteria arch, but she hasn’t. Her personality grates on my nerves. ETA: I must be getting used to her, because now I am finding her rather cute!

I also dislike the “general” jock personality. I have Kid Cat, and I like him—probably because he’s a superhero! I couldn’t get rid of Mac fast enough. Whenever Kid Cat says that line about “rippling muscles,“ I wonder who at Nintendo wrote that! That is the only line that I wish they wouldn’t say.

I am not that crazy about the lazy personality, although I currently have two of them. I keep Marcel right now because I like his house exterior, which I normally don’t care about, but he has an exceptionally nice house in a scenic location. ETA: actually, Marcel is a big sweetie after spending time with him for a while, and Beau is adorable.

I don’t really care for the snooty personality. Olivia’s high maintenance gets on my nerves sometimes LOL ==> ETA: My snooty has done the sweetest things lately. She was genuinely upset when I fell into a pitfall. And she gave me her orange instead of trying to charge me 1600 bells for it. ETA2: as I get to know Olivia better, she does seem more down to earth. I have to try to coax her out of her shell.

My favorite villager personality is probably either the lazy or normal personality. They're always just so kind and caring. It's always really nice to talk to them, I always look forward to talking to them. My least favorite are probably the Uchi villagers, they seem to be the most rude in my opinion. I don't really dislike any personality honestly but they're probably the ones who I don't really care for. I really like peppy villagers, they're really fun to talk to and are really energetic, I have three of them in my town. I also like the smug personality, they act like gentlemen and I think that's really charming. Cranky and snooty villagers are okay, maybe I'd like snooty just a little better, I haven't had a cranky villager in my town in almost a year.

My favorite villager personality in ACNL is definitely normal. They’re genuinely sweet without being obnoxious and they don’t say anything passive aggressive or rude lol. The normal personality type is what I’d look for in friends.

My favorite is Normal And Snooty and my least favorite is Smug. Smugs are very egotistical, obnoxious, and brags way too much. They also repeat too many of the same annoying lines.

Cranky’s are my least favourite. I just find their voices too deep for my liking and they’re usually really bleh to me. They just don’t seem really upbeat and fun?

I think all of them are great but I particularly like the cranky villagers (well, most of them) because it feels so rewarding when they become more friendly with you, especially in the older games when they were significantly more, well... cranky.
I also like uchi/sisterly villagers because of the way they talk and their overall tomboyish attitude.
However, I've yet to get used to smug villagers. Their dialogue is way different from other personalities and not really in a good way in my opinion. The fact that they tend to flirt with you sometimes is also really weird.

honestly this is based on how they were portrayed in NL because they're all so similar to each other in NH i don't even have a set favorite.

favorite: lazy. they're just really endearing and cute and i related to the sleeping comments as someone who has CFS and really likes sleeping. in NH they say some cute stuff too, especially among each other, but i still think i prefer them in NL.

least favorite: cranky. i just... don't vibe with them. maybe it's because they're portrayed as older? not entirely sure, although i do relate to some of their NH comments about having, like, bad backs and getting out of breath lmao. i also think it might be because most of them don't have designs that appeal to me very much.
