Your favourite/least favourite villager personality?

I love the lazies and the crankies. I have Fang on my island and just yesterday I saw him sitting in his deck chair on his porch and I couldn't help thinking how adorable he looked sitting there like an old man in the evening watching the world go by 😂. I find the jocks really annoying and everytime I get a snooty villager I just want them gone. My first Snooty was Naomi and I think she was enough for me as I havent kept a snooty villager since.

My absolute favorite villager is a Cranky villager, but to be honest, I almost wish that the Cranky villager type was a little bit more... actually cranky. They, along with the Snooty villager type, are just a little bit too nice. I wish they at least started out more mean or aloof and warmed up to you with time. I've heard that in the original game those two types used to be meaner, but I've never played that game, so I'd be interested to know if that's actually true or not.

But anyway, to actually answer the question, my two favorites are the Lazy type and the Smug type. Lazy villagers are so cute, and I love how mischievous they can be at times. I don't know if the word 'smug' is really good enough to convey the Smug type, but they're always entertaining. IMO, I would have called them either "Romantic" or "Eccentric". Either way, they're always fun to have around.

Favorite: Lazy and Peppy. The lazy villagers are adorable and they are so sweet to your character. I also relate to them. Peppy villagers are also cute and I love how they call you bestie. I also like their upbeat attitude~

Least Favorite: Like everyone else, jocks. They are just so annoying and don't talk about anything but sports and sweat. I have a few that I like, but I eventually get rid of them because they annoy me.

I just want to point out that in NL jocks were more tolerable than in NH. That being said here is my NL ranking
1. Uchi
2. Smug
3. Lazy
4. Cranky
5. Jock
6. Snooty
7. Normal
8. Peppy

Uchis were just the best. Jocks in this game had more personality than just muscles. No offence but normals I've always found to have very stale personalities. However, they are better than the peppies. I just cant stand peppies.

My favorite type is definitely peppy. Peppy villagers are so upbeat. They exercise frequently and stay fit, but still care about looks and stuff, just not as much as snooty types. Peppy is what I would be as a villager.
I also like cranky types a lot. They seem like the grandpas of the island, and they just seem sweet to me. It's nice seeing my younger villagers talk to my cranky villager (Rolf) about new things and him teaching them things from when he was younger too.

My least favorite type is jock. Ugh, where do I start, all they talk about is sports and working out. It's annoying and I can tell that my villagers think so too, lol.

I like the cranky and uchi types best in new leaf. I'm not a fan of the jock villagers, but there are a few exceptions, like Pierce.

My favourite in both Wild World and New Leaf was lazy because lazy villagers were adorable in these games. Sadly in New Horizons I find the lazies bland and actually prefer the peppies.

My least favourite personality type is uchi. I just don't find it to be an interesting personality.

My favorite in NL were lazies and peppies; Punchy was my BFF and so was was Puddles. I really loved Punchy’s comments on my food decorations :). My least favorites were jocks because of the muscle and sweat talk, snooty since I thought they were always so dang rude and their snootiness always bothered me (until I got Ankha; I loved Ankha regardless), and I also didn’t like smugs because I had Keaton and he creeped me out (later I got Marshal and I loved him lol). I also wasn’t a fan of the “you’re cool as a cucumber” comment like @xara had mentioned earlier.

I’m wondering if all these jocks are the worst personality votes are coming from those going off of NH’s jocks. I do not remember NL jocks being all about sweat and exercise. Sure, they brought it up every once in a while, but it definitely wasn’t their only personality. That being said, NH jocks are not my favorite personality there, because they are one-note sweat machines. I’d probably say lazies are my favorite there, cuz they kinda match how my rep is like lol

I actually don’t mind all of the personality types with the exception of jocks. I just can’t with jock type. :ROFLMAO:

My favourite is either peppy or lazy. Most of my favourite villagers are lazy :] They're so sweet and put me in a good mood!
On the other hand, I hate jocks. I never have jocks living in my town - I hate all their designs and dialogue 😅

My favorite is Normal because they just seem so realistic and have real conversations.

My least favorite is peppy because of the repetitive dialogue... I can only have one peppy at a time where as all other villager types I can have multiple of.

My favourite is the normal type! I love them a lot and think they’re always so sweet to talk to. I also enjoy the lazy villagers in new lead I think they’re adorable.

My least favourite is probably the jock type? I just don’t find them interesting, personally! That and the uchi villagers, I’m not a huge fan of them but I do like that they give me medicine when the wasps sting me lol. I can’t see myself having more than one of these personalities!

My favorite male villager personality is Smug, while my favorite female villager personality is Snooty. It's tough to pick between them since I feel like my answer regarding which I prefer could change from day to day, but if you asked me right this moment I'd probably say Smug.

My least favorite male villager personality is Lazy because they're portrayed as too young in their dialogue (I feel like I remember them talking about tricylces or something) in New Leaf, and it just got worse in New Horizons when it was decided Lazies should love and talk about bugs all the time. My least favorite female villager personality is probably Peppy, but I've grown more fond of them over the years. As such, my I'd say my least favorite overall is Lazy. I love a bunch of Lazy villagers, but their dialogue leaves a bit to be desired.

I would say in new leaf that my favorite is probably the lazy villagers. They tend to talk about snacking, napping, and comic books, and I think it’s really cute.

As far as least favorite well I think I might have to say normal even though they are so friendly and nice. I feel like in New Leaf especially, they don’t really say anything interesting.

Originally I was going to say snooty but really at least their dialogue is fun and spicy. Yuka is my snooty in NL. I remember when I first met her she was just mean to me. Now she is very sweet to me so it kind of made it much more interesting and felt like a real friendship that formed rather than just random boring dialogue.

Favorite: Normal.
They're very friendly and cheerful.

Least Favorite: Uchi.
They seem rude, condescending, and stuckup

I just realized I posted this for New Leaf. I can't remember how Uchis are in New Leaf, so I don't know how well this holds up

My favourite personalities are cranky and sisterly. They may act tough and rude, but some can be sweethearts. That’s why 2 of my top 3 favourite villagers are cranky and sisterly (Ike in 1st and Shari in 3rd). The other one is Derwin.

My least favourite is normal. Yeah, I know they’re the most popular, but the personality can be bland and boring. Despite that I have 2 normals on my first island and one on my 2nd island. The ones on my first island are Sally (who I invited via amiibo card) and Lucy (one of my dreamies who I found on a mystery tour). The normal on my 2nd island is Sydney, who I had as a camper in December.

Favorite: Normal. I love most designs and they’re nice to have in town. They’re kind, welcoming, peaceful, and I love when conversations move to food. They’re also quick to help and focus on others. I could picture them welcoming new villagers with a casserole.

Least Favorite: Peppy. I’ve always found them a bit...extra. They have some great dialogue when caught up with other villagers (e.g.: how they’ll throw shade right back), but they’re too high energy for me.
