Well, for those of us that started this game on or near launch (June 11, 2013 myself), our third years begin this June. Now that it's 2015, I began thinking of some third year goals.
My first year was to get all gold badges by June 10, 2014. Insanely hard, requiring multiple copies, and countless hours of play, but I did it (I posted a pic of it on another thread here in late March). My second year goal is to grow all the hybrids, and organize and arrange my flowers. I'm still working on it. I've got a few areas left to finish, but should be done by June (hopefully). By the way, this flower growing has to be the SLOWEST thing I've EVER done in a video game, I can't believe how long some of these hybrids are taking to grow! Since I had the 5,000 medal badge from the first year, spending all of them in the meantime, and assuming it would take about a year to reach, I also set the goal to reach 10,000 island medals. I did it, posting a pic with a thread I started back in July showing how 9,999 is NOT the max.
Thinking what to do next, I was sitting under my tree, and saw it end with 613 visitors. I want to reach 1,000. I also want to have one of my player houses with gold exterior. My mayor's house is out, I LOVE it the way it is. I finally decided on who, but he needs to pay off the final expansion, and I decided to go with the Fairy Tale theme, since he already has most of that exterior. I plan to use the Ice, Rococo, Regal, Lovely, and Mushroom series for points. We'll see if it works, I get an entire year to experiment around. Once I do though unlock them all, I'll give away the furniture afterwards, and return his interior back to the way I have it now. I'll also open my gates to other players more this coming year, so they can come play in my town/island- maybe even help earn medals on tours. My last goal for year 3 will actually be in early 2016, because if I continue to play this daily, on March 7, 2016 I'll have played 1,000 days!
I'm not sure if I'll make year 4 goals, or just play it like I do Wild World now- for the enjoyment of the game, without feeling like there's something I HAVE to do every single day.
