Yes this game needs work but playing it with friends makes this game worth it. ♡

look my point was to not tell other people not to criticize the game. we're allowed to be critical of it and if people dont like it theyre allowed to do that too. you shouldnt be getting personally offended by people saying the game is lacking things

I don't think they were trying to say they were offended by those comments or that they were wrong of saying that lol I think they were just emphasizing the good things about this game and show one aspect of how to play the game without stressing!

I still really enjoy this game and will enjoy this game probably for a very long time. I enjoy collecting items, and I know that I still have so many more hours to put into my island.
I do complain about ACNH a lot sometimes, but that's only because I like it and care about it a lot (if that makes sense). I wish there was minigames in multiplayer, but I also really enjoy being able to trade with others and talk to people while chilling

I'm not getting offended i'm just stating what I noticed and my opinion. All i'm saying is noooobody had even even played NL then nothing would feel like is lacking in NH. I think everyone should appreciate what we have. Because right now times are tough and people are hurting but all of us are caught up comparing a 8 year old game to a completely different system and game. Just appreciate what you have because you could have nothing at all. :// Some people don't even have a home,, just enjoy the game and wait for updates.

People are forgetting that this game is following the “live service” tactic. This game is very likely completed. The reason for the delay was to finish it so there would be enough content to release for the first year. Everyone is complaining about lack or missing content but for all we know it could all be there, finish and waiting (we’ve seen hints of such with datamining in the version before the Lief update), it’s just that they decided to slowly release each feature rather than dumping it all at once. We shouldn’t be complaining about just the lack of content rather we should be complaining about the decision of making core features (like Brewster, Katrina, Gracie, ect.) part of the “live service”. Unfortunently that’s just how much of modern gaming has evolved to, many triple A companies/developers are starting to either cut things out to resell as DLC or release them in free updates to artificially extend the lifespan of a game. Some people like the latter, some people really hate it.
Personally, for NH only, I don’t mind it too much, this game is meant to be played day by day, it’s an incredibly slow game, I have had plenty to do so far and I enjoyed it all. Just really wish we’d get some solid announcements or hints of when the next core features would be dropping a lot sooner, I think that would put myself and many others at ease at the very least.

Something I've loved about playing with other people is giving a helping hand! While it may just be a video game, seeing people's reactions when you give them a big tip, giving people who expected to pay something for free, stuff like that, makes me feel so good! So yes, playing with friends/others is definitely one of the more fun parts of the game for me.

Yeah, and the game that came out 8 years ago outshines NH in some ways, as it had a plethora of items, shops etc, and was more enjoyable for it. That's why we aren't totally satisfied.
A ton of content is missing.
This is a switch game, not a 3DS game.
They could do so much better.
Port over WW dialogue, NL items, and then NH would be fantastic as the graphics for the most part, are superb.

Friends? I enjoy trapping strangers on my island and watch them become aggressive mushroom/snowflake hunters that will gladly trample a nearby villager.
That's my kind of fun.
I invited my irl friend to join a seasonal hunt event on my island with some fellow forum members and he said it was scary how intense they were. LOL

I’ve been taking a break from the game for the most part. I’ll be back to decorating and terraforming when I feel up to it again. Playing with others is the main reason I play as much as I do. I like the game but motivation to play right now has been lacking and I can see myself getting burned out if I forced myself to keep going when I don’t feel motivated.
