Wrong DLC???

I am absolutely positive that I have a US game.
I tried to get the Afternoon Tea Set today but got the Japanese DLC Full-Moon Vanity instead.
Help??

Note: Got ACNL on my trip to the US at a Walmart. I got it on the release date and it's definitely not the Japanese version. Changed my SSID to Bestbuy and everything. I got the Pumpkin Pie but now I'm having problems.

Sup, i think i can help you out.

The Full Moon Vanity is an international item, meaning everyone with access to Wifi and a copy of ACNL can get it via Post Office in-game.

Whereas the Afternoon Tea-Set is a Nintendo Zone-exclusive item, meaning you need to have access to a place with Nintendo Zone in order to get said item.

And unfortunately for us in the Philippines, we have no Nintendo Zone areas

If I knew how to change the SSID to be something like Best-Buy, you could have my alt-char's Afternoon Tea-Set. Too bad I dunno how, though.
