Would you want the villager cap raised?

I would have liked at least 12 though I'd equally be happy with 14. Overall, I'd like an even number (picky about house placing/even-ness).
I was a little disappointed it was still 10 but I guess the islands also didn't really end up being quite as big as I thought they were going to be either.
Hopefully, they have more buildings/shops planned to come with DLC otherwise I still feel like 2 more villager houses would have been nice to fill some space.

Nah I think 10 is pretty appropriate, there's less personality types than 10 anyway, you know, I like barely treading the line of it feeling like I'm talking to the same villager over and over because I have like six Jocks or something.

Er, so hand in hand - I'd like a higher cap if we had more variety of personalities.

I'd love to have at least 12 and maybe give people a choice so if they'd want less, they could just stop putting down more plots of land and then everyone would be happy.
Why I think it's very doable is
no. 1 - Villagers can no longer leave without informing us
no. 2 - There's just SO much room.
Especially since we can create 8 characters which I feel is very unrealistic. I doubt anyone is going to share their Switch with grandpa or grandma. Giving players a choice would be the way to go.

Only if the island were bigger. I would love to have at least 12 villagers, but not without the island getting at least another row/column of space. 2 more personalities would be nice as well.
