Would you want the villager cap raised?

Unless they come out with new personalities, I personally dont like the idea of increasing it. Theres a lot of villagers I'd love to have but the amount if repeat personalities and dialogue would kill me x'D I think 12 would be a good number if they added 2 new personalities (one for each gender) which I was really hoping they'd do for this game but didnt :'O

i was thinking of that but then again, we're not forced to have all 8 player houses, and with the addition of plotting lands/selling them, we're not forced to get them all either.

Doesn't matter, they have to design the game with the worst case in mind, yeah it's dumb, but so are many of their decisions with this game.

I think it would be cool if there was a certain amount of houses that can be build, if you only have 1 character you can take in more villagers but if you have like 6 different players there is less space for villager houses.

It actually doesn’t matter if they raised it or not for me. I originally planned on having only 8 villagers, one of each personality. Now that i’m almost done teraforming, there is just no way i’ll be able to fit more than 8 villagers in my island without ruining my island plans.

Hah, I made a thread on this yesterday! As I said there, I'd love more villagers - 15 would be a sweet spot for me since I'm never going to need another 7 player villager houses on my island.

This is just me, but if we get an island that is 1/4 or 1/8 in size that is connected via the peninsula, maybe we can have enough space for more villagers/buildings. This way we can have all in the same map. I would be really happy with 11, I could add marshal that way.

No. Not unless we can stay at 5 star and not be forced to get more than 10. The town map just isn't big enough for more than 10.

Looking at my island, I could comfortably fit another 10, but then I don't give each house a large garden so it's not like they're massively spaced out. My fruit orchards and wood farm take up almost as much space as 8 houses or so, and I don't really need those anymore either, so with a bit of deforesting I reckon I could fit up to 30 villager houses. Make some streets, small front gardens, pretty manageable heh.

15 seems like it'd be a breeze, especially if the game factors in the possibility of 8 player homes after all.

Yaaas please. Too much cuteness to choose from. I personally liked having a pool of collected villagers that could be invited in Pocket Camp. It would be cool if they implemented something similar in this game.

12 seems like a reasonable cap, I feel like if it were any higher than that, the island would get crowded fast.
Though, I really hoped NH came with new personalities... ah well.
