Would you like farming and cooking to be incorporated into animal crossing?

I'm undecided. I love farming games, but it's something that would be really different from past animal crossing games. I would of course farm in the game if they added it, but it would take a lot of time to get used to it.

Farming would be a little annoying, but cooking would be epic! there could be a new visitor that sells cooking items. you could also cook fruits and mushrooms as well.

On one side I would love to do farming and cooking in acnh. It’s like something new and something that we can try out.
I always have to think about Zelda BotW because there you can also cook recipes and collect ingredients for the meal and tbh I really liked this feature.
But on the other side I feel like If there’s farming and cooking it would be too much for me. I’m already overwhelmed because of the terraforming. Okay joke I’m just not that creative

The more they can add, the better...because, the game is losing steam without any major updates lately. I suggested it in the past...but, if they do add cooking, one practical feature could be raising the friendship stats quicker. Like...baking a pie for a villager would boost their friendship exponentially quicker than the normal means. Would be quite useful for getting posters quicker.

I think it would be fun and cute to have these components in game. We could even have ingredients to make into food furniture Items (which people here have mentioned). I’ve been waiting for more food itemssssss. TuT

I think I would really enjoy a farming mechanic, but I'm worried that stepping away from the game for a while would spoil/kill my crops. I also am worried that adding farming elements would add an extra task to my already relentless flower problem. If the farm was a separate area that didn't operate on the same time/space that my island did, I think I would really love a farm!

I'm not against an AC title going the way of Harvest Moon and adding in that sweet farming aspect... But I don't necessarily want it as a delayed feature to this existing title. It doesn't fit the Island theme of New Horizons imo and would be a pretty big play style overhaul to throw in so late after release.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm absolutely here for Animal Crossing: Rural Living or something where farming is a main feature~

Also I'm pretty sure the data mined veggie info is gonna be entirely corresponding to the thanksgiving event

I would love this feature and I feel like maybe it would give me more to do in my game. I would especially love if it could be an optional mini game sort of thing maybe, but i feel that's even more unlikely. They did add more minigames to NL though, so who knows!

ive always wanted to cook in animal crossing, ive been dreaming of it for the longest time! it just seems like such a well-suited add-on that will really bring the game on a whole different level! it'll be different than other AC games, but like you stated, they haven't added certain things from previous games in NH, so something new like cooking will definitely make it even more enjoyable to play! it'll also be a unique feature that im sure many people will enjoy.

i also enjoy the idea of farming for potential crops that we can use in our dishes! overall, it would make an incredible feature for an already outstanding game!

I'd really like cooking/farming to be a thing in animal crossing! I think it would be a really cool daily task to do especially for people who are done collecting resources/DIY bottles everyday. Also I like how games like pokemon have implemented cooking as well so I hope the same is for animal crossing

I don't want these features added to the game. If I wanted that, I would play one of the several popular farming games out there.

I used to play Hay Day and Township. I burned out doing so many events, and there was too much to do.

I want Animal Crossing to stay relaxed and free flowing, without too many "required" activities. Adding more to do each day makes it start to feel required, even if technically it isn't. I am happy with the occasional Bug Out or fishing event.

ETA: Sorry, I didn't see this poll was for ACNH, but regardless of which AC, I hope it doesn't happen. I play Pocket Camp, and there are way too many events in PC.

I absolutely would! It could be used as a way to get the food items from the previous games without making them diy, or even just regular furniture items. It'll make more sense, and even put a fun spin on it.

Yes, I would love to have farming and cooking in NH. However, even if that doesn't happen, I'd at least like to have farming themed display items so I can create a nice vegetable garden or farm. Oh, I'd love that!

I enjoy games like Stardew Valley, Story of Seasons, etc so I would happily welcome things like farming & cooking in New Horizons but I doubt we'll actually get it. I think the datamined food items are most likely tied in with the Harvest Festival as an event/seasonal thing.
