I remember going back to New Leaf after so long and seeing someone's town with bamboo in the water. I was so amazed with what they had done. Then the first update came out and destroyed all the hacked towns and people were upset.
That's pretty interesting. I wonder how that can even happen... Doesn't look like photoshop to me unless someone spent way too much time trying to get the water level exactly around the house model. There seem to be no mistakes around the base of the house, where the grass would have to be photoshopped out, either.
I'd like to dismiss it as save editing, but if that were the case I doubt they would have taken the screenshot on the title screen... Maybe a glitch after all? One that possibly only works on the title screen?

Agree that it looked incredibly out of place. I suppose people got desperate for things to decorate with, since there wasn't much to do outside... I personally never saw the appeal

Interesting, up until now, I haven’t heard anything about houses being chucked into oceans. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or a hack so I’m staying skeptical about this even if the op there claims they don’t know how it happened.
