Witches Unite!

Technically I do consider myself a "Witch" not a Pagan, or Wiccan. I go by Witch, and when asked my religion I will either say "I'm a Witch" or "Spiritual" depending on my audience. So I mean, I consider it a religion.

That's one of the things I like about this - it is rather fluid, letting you practice/believe the way you choose.

I call myself a Witch, because I do magic, but my belief is Wiccan. That might be splitting hairs, but it helps sometimes when talking with others. :)

Okay, if I'm gonna be honest, you're really spooky, which is cool. Aliens and witches? I love that ****!

I actually really want to be a witch

There's more to witchcraft than just being spooky and weird, though. This is a life decision that takes a lot of time, practice, effort, and thought. It's not something to be taken lightly.

Been a while since we've had one of these threads.

Just like the gender threads, religion threads, etc, if you don't agree with it then don't bother posting nonsense in it. Just a heads up.

Well, I guess I'll introduce myself? I would consider myself a secular (agnostic?) mostly non-practicing pagan. I guess if you pressed me I'd label myself a green witch, though I don't utilize the "witch" part of that very often tbh.

wow!!! you can perform magic spells and fly on a broom? just like the people on wizards of waverly place? :O

This is like, the best compliment I've ever received, so thank you, and I love you. If you want to be a witch, then be a witch? It's really that simple. There aren't like "credentials" to become one or anything. I'd suggest looking into some books or even into blogs or groups online, it'll help you find your nook. <3

Sounds very similar to what I've got going on. I really want to get more into utilizing nature, but my mom wont let me take over part of the yard for my herbs, and I feel weird using store bought ones, if that makes any sense. I do gather a bit of stuff around when I go walking and stuff though.

Gardening is pretty much the only thing I do that's remotely witchy, but I have an emotional attachment to my plants and work pretty hard to keep everything in balance and healthy. Idk. It sort of boils over into my everyday life, like I'm pretty rabid about recycling/composting and try to use mostly natural products (LUSH is practically my mecca), all of that sort of stuff. It all ties into my worldview and personal philosophy, but doesn't really go beyond that into actual workings or anything. Like if I plant something specific for anything other than aesthetic reasons, it'll be because we can eat or use it, or because it's good for the bees or will bring butterflies. Not necessarily because it's going to bring me luck or wealth or anything like that. So I'm really not sure what to call myself.

Lush is pretty bomb. (Pun not intended but very well done I might add...) I actually just went out of my usual "bath bomb" purchase and got myself a henna bar, it did WONDERS on my hair, it's super happy now. I am not overly wholesome, I wish I was and I know I definitely need to make changes. When I have a house of my own, a better income, and more time I am definitely going to get back into doing more natural stuff. I used to make salves and lotions and stuff but haven't for a while. Coconut oil is my main girl, and shea butter is my side b****. And being a pescaterian I really want to start cultivating a nice garden because fresh vegetables are to die for, and I miss being able to go out into my backyard and picking dinner just an hour before eating it.
One of the things I will never stop using and collecting are stones, and I don't mean just the main crystals and stuff. I feel different energies off rocks and minerals that don't fall into the mainstream healing crystals, at least I never really see them. I kind of feel like they call out to me when I go rock-hounding and they bring me a lot of great energy and comfort. So if I could categorize myself as any "kind" of witch. I would be a rock witch. This probably sounds really stupid, but I could easily bury myself in my rock collection and die happy.

im not a witch myself, but i always find threads like these inspiring. i kind of want to start doing witchcraft myself, i just find it hard to start... im from a lineage of psychics, and have witch ancestors. :')

Yes, I've done magic. But not the type you see on TV or in the movies. Although there are times when I wish I could just twitch my nose and have the housework done!

But being a Witch/Wiccan/Pagan isn't just about magic; it's about religious and spiritual belief.
