Inspired by a similar thread I made over two years ago, I got curious to know what kinds of food and drink flavors TBT members dislike instead of like. Unlike my old thread which I asked what options from the poll people like the flavor of, people are not limited to a set of options and you can specify any flavor/taste(s) that exists that you don't like.

Personally I am not of fan of spicy taste, extremely sugary/artificially sweetened taste(foods with a low/medium-ish amount of sugar are perfectly fine) salty taste, pumpkin-flavored things, cinnamon-flavored things and the taste of carbonated beverages that come to mind right off the bat of my head. Could be forgetting more flavors that I don't care for.

I don’t like grape, watermelon, blue raspberry or strawberry flavored candies or drinks.

Not big on orange stuff. It tends to be the least enjoyable. Orange juice isn’t even appetizing in my opinion, I find it completely overrated and just very weird tasting. However, the fruits themselves are pretty great and chocolate oranges are amazing. Something about that combo is just perfect.

I hate coffee as well. Anything bitter really.

Cinnamon flavor is kinda gross to me. The kinda thing where it’s spicy and hard like a red hot or a cinnamon altoid instead of soft and sweet like cinnamon on a roll. My tongue aches thinking about that horrible semisweet burn.

I'm actually not a big fan of the taste in alcohol-based drinks, too acidic and lacks an appealing taste. These drinks taste more like soap or rubbing alcohol more than the typical taste of drinks.

Also, i don't like the taste of orange juice or most citrus juices unless it's iced tea.

I hate banana. But I like the actual banana fruit.
Bubble gum is disgusting.
Majority of watermelon is a no for me, but I like watermelon the actual fruit.

I'm not a fan of anything that tastes too citrus-like or if it's alcohol, considering I don't drink alcohol anyway, lol.

I strongly dislike the taste of artificial sweetener, especially sucralose. I've had to stop buying certain drinks that I used to really like (jumex guava nectar and Brisk iced tea) because they added sucralose to them and that totally messed up the flavor for me.

I generally love spicy foods, but the combination of spicy plus bitter just doesn't work for me. In particular, I can't stand the taste of wasabi.

I like eating oranges and other citrus fruits on their own, but I also don't really like citrus-flavored things in general.

I don’t really like artificial banana/orange flavored things. I do love fresh citrus juice and bananas themselves are fine, but the artificial flavoring I don’t enjoy.

I also stay away from carbonated beverages. I used to love soda as a kid but growing up they started to give me acid reflux + migraines for some reason??? So I haven’t had soda/energy drinks in many, many years

Anything with a strong taste of ginger. It makes me want to throw up. Also too much peppercorn, no thank you. I like ground pepper but we have some dishes that use peppercorn and I just don't like them that much! I do not like biting them.

A little specific but Thai basil. When I first tried Thai spring rolls I enjoyed them for the most part, except when I would bite a chunk with Thai basil and I hated the taste. Even when we went to Thailand I was careful not to select any food with basil in them. 😭

Too sweet foods as well, esp. drinks. A lot of times I'd go for 50% sugar, sometimes as low as 25% sugar when I get milk tea because the amount of sugar makes me nauseous. When I still feel it's too sweet I add water to dilute the flavor.

Also controversial but... coffee 😔 I desperately tried liking coffee since they say, "You need coffee to function!", but idk it just does not do it for me. I don't heavily dislike it, but when I do drink coffee I usually add so much milk and/or creamer to dilute the coffee flavor that my friends (who hardcore black coffee lovers) shame me for doing so lol. Esp calling me 'soft' for not liking coffee. I like it in... very minimal amounts, and I just have a low tolerance for it. Honestly I've lived college and medical school without relying on coffee so it's whatever.

Anything that's bitter : dark chocolate, straight coffee, grapefruit.
Molasses and I aren't best friends either.
I'm also at the point in my life where too much sugar is just nasty to me. How the fudge did 14 years old Wolfsbane eat brown sugar on toast? Yuck.
Oh god, and milk. I can't have just milk. If it's paired with cereal, cookies, etc. that's okay/better. The aftertaste is always so awful though. ->

I think this might be a bit unusual but cherry. I really don't like cherry.
Grape and orange are kinda on thin ice. I am not completely opposed to them, but I would prefer something else.
I'm not really a fan of fruit or sour in general but I will put up with it sometimes.
I am also not a fan of spicy things but I have a few exceptions like pepperoni.

I'm going to be honest, I have basically no discernment in taste. I'll really just eat whatever. There's a few flavours I don't like, but they're mostly just fish things. Prawn cocktail is also mank in my opinion, and buffalo is mid at best. Where did it even get the name "buffalo"?

Drinks-wise, I will gulp almost anything except for aloe vera flavoured things and a handful of others I can't even think of. The aloe vera thing was from me going to a Polish shop (idk if there a big thing in other countries, but in Ireland there's usually one in every large-enough town) and buying those Tymbark drinks. I loved all the flavours, but that aloe vera one was disgusting and made me want to bleach my mouth. My brother loves it though so don't hate it or never try it on account of my experience.

Coconut— I am so sorry. That is NASTY. Weirdly enough, I love coconut water though people say it tastes like it’s been in “someone else’s mouth.”

Oh yeah, I don't like pretty much anything coconut-flavored or coconuts themselves. Forgot about that one, lol.
