Wisp The Ghost Isn't On My Island Anymore

I've noticed that Wisp the ghost was wandering around, at the back of my island, when I first started playing the game last week. However since I've built the first 3 villager's homes at the back of the island as well. Wisp doesn't appear anywhere on my island anymore. And I had Googled what times when he appears on the island. But seems like he's not arriving on my island anymore.

How do I make Wisp come back because I liked getting the free stuff from him, after returning his 5 missing cells?

I don't think there is any way to control this unfortunately guess it depends on seasonal events and other special guests to your island, perhaps with the last big update they reduced his frequency. I hadn't seen him for a while on mine until yesterday also, having the same issue with Gulliver.

I think its random! so you can't make him return. He also didn't visit me in some time but I like to imagine it is because I didn't find all his pieces lol. poor fella was doomed in my game.

but don't worry, he will eventually show up again!

He hadn't appeared on mine for quite a while either, but last night he actually showed up, so you probably just have to be patient. He's definitely still in the game.

Showed up a couple days ago in my game but there was a dry spell where I didn’t really see him for a week or two while I was redoing my entire island. And I’ve noticed he only appears on the 2nd or 3rd elevations on my island.

I feel like I get him in waves. I also don't actively look for him, though, so that may be a factor as well. Overall, he's probably the lowest NPC on my priority list and will probably only do his quest when I chance upon him for the achievement

It is completely randomly, you could go a month without seeing him. I haven't had Redd in a little over a week, and I finally got him again today.

I saw him yesterday in my game. First time in a while. I didn't split him though. Just didn't feel like rounding him up again.

I've had him show up like twice on my island recently. I haven't had flick on my island in like a month though

I found him on the lowest level last week--he was actually going up and down an incline and across and back a bridge right by the incline. I think I found him on the lowest level another time, too. Usually he is on my cliffs though.

To the OP, he's random. I went over a week without him recently and then got him the other night again. I wish since he and Celeste are the only night villagers they were a little more common.

I've progressed since I've posted this post. I'm now able to evaluate my island stars and reviews. One of the villager's review was about that they're glad that there's no ghost coming on the island. And now I'm thinking they were talking about Wisp the Ghost. Now I understand why I hadn't seen him because my island is starting to increase in population.

Is it possible for the developers to make Wisp the Ghost to be randomly found on a random island?

Wisp's appearance isn't tied to your population as far as I know. I have a full island and I still get him.

If I had to guess, that evaluation is actually from Wisp (they're all from various NPCs, at 4-stars, you get one from Celeste about how she visits because of her brother and loves the island, etc), who doesn't know he's a ghost.

He's not always at the back.
