I remember back in those days when Wild World and New Leaf released, almost everyone wrote a diary of their lives in their Animal Crossing town and added pictures and anecdotes. Some used forum threads, some had a tumblr blog, and some others even uploaded Let's Plays on Youtube. It was a lot of fun! :lemon:

I'd love to read about you starting your life on a deserted island. I'd love to see your pictures and discover what you experience on your first days into the game. So I ask you: will you write a diary or something similar when the game releases? Do you already have plans how it's gonna be like?

I for myself definitely plan to document my island life. I don't know for sure how, but it's set. In the TBT 3.0 thread it is mentioned that there might be ways to have a blog about your town in the new version of the board. If that doesn't work out, I might create a new tumblr blog and link it in my signature. Even if no one wants to read it, I want to have that for myself and collect all these memories for years to come.

So, tell me about your plans or if you don't have any at all! :)

Probably will, it will be cool to look back on! I'll definitely appreciate other people making let's plays and creating diaries as I probably wont get the game until Christmas, so it will be cool to see other people's journies

Probably not daily blogs but if there is a feature on TBT 3.0 to post in a blog-like way, I'll definitely be uploading good/funny moments on my island. the pictures are gonna be too good NOT to

I'm considering it as a semi-daily creative writing exercise, but I think I'll need to come up with a gimmick to make it worthwhile for me, so it isn't just "today I did this and xyz villager moved in and the flowers are pretty!". There's probably been enough "creepy Animal Crossing" takes over the years, so I'll need to brainstorm a twist.

Maybe there being a central mystery as to why the villager was willing to leave everything behind and head to this new island? I dunno.

I have an AC blogspot that I currently use to document my ACNL towns before the new game comes out (link in my signature)! I don't like tumblr because it's a little too fast paced for me and I don't really like the idea of reblogging, unless it's on twitter/retweeting. It's a nice little creative outlet for me to write about the happenings of my town, especially if I'm doing specific projects like relandscaping projects or room designs. I'll definitely try to continue doing this for ACNH. It will be the first AC game I will play at launch so I am eager to document my early days and creative projects that come out of it! I'll no doubt be inspired by this game enough to write about more than just my dailies. I'll probably upload to twitter a lot more to share single images and funny moments, but I will be documenting my dailies and other stuff in my blogspot blog :')

I’ve always loved looking at those but never done one myself. I might this time around, because it would be fun to look back on in the future. We’ll see! If nothing else I might do a physical, written “diary” or journal type of thing for just myself so I can look back on how my island started. I’m not always motivated to upload photos.

That’s a great idea! If not in a blog then why not to this thread? I’d love reading a little snapshot of everyone’s day

i never did for new leaf because transferring pictures was a pain and the image quality was too low for me to justify going through all the effort. but with new horizons those switch screenshot and video features are so fast i probably will be documenting my gameplay.

We could definitely make a big thread where everyone can post whatever just happened to them, just like a Facebook timeline! That would be really funny and wouldn't take too much effort.

Honestly, I hadn't considered this at all up until now, and although I know I want to have a place to upload screenshots and share info, I'm not sure whether to do that here or make an extra account for it on Twitter or Tumblr. I deleted most of my social media accounts last year, but Tumblr worked really well for ACNL, so maybe I'll start up a new one for ACNH...

I think ill do a written journal. I did one on my ipad for new leaf and i loved it

Nah, probably not. It?s not really my thing to document what I?m doing. I may start being active on my dead AC tumblr but that?s about it.

i might write down lil blurbs about what happened on my island and what things ive found or caught that day, but i definitely wanna make a tumblr to post screenshots as my island develops.

Maybe. If the new forum TBT allows it.

This, basically.

If it is allowed on the new forums, there's a decent chance I will since getting images onto the computer from your Switch is pretty simple with the share-to-Twitter option for screenshots.

No.
I will need time for real life after playing NH most of the time. :)

I probably won't have time for that but I would love if there would be a thread where everyone can post something about maybe what they did that day or something that caught their eye. I would definitely love to read everyone's experience.

Keeping a log of what happens once I start playing NH actually does sound like a very good idea. I'm not likely to post any images with it, but it would still be interesting to do regardless.
