Will you write a diary?

I have an AC tumblr blog, that I made after I'd had New Leaf for a while. I never kept a diary so to speak on it, but I did regularly post qrs I made, and screencaps of things (like conversations, room renovations, outdoor gardening, etc.). It was inactive for a while, but I plan to do the same with new horizons now.

It's always a pain for me to really take that time and write down what happened. Small happenings that are important might be interesting.

I wrote a Wild World diary when I was 10, but I had to stop because my mum started snooping through it... apparently she asked my brother who ‘Bob’ was, thinking it was someone I knew IRL.

Now, I don’t have a physical diary, but I do have an Instagram specifically for New Horizons.

I've read the PSA about the forum upgrade and it sounds like the Blog Tree aspect is coming back. Do we have confirmation? I've been saving my screenshots because I know I'll want to do a "diary."

I remember back in those days when Wild World and New Leaf released, almost everyone wrote a diary of their lives in their Animal Crossing town and added pictures and anecdotes. Some used forum threads, some had a tumblr blog, and some others even uploaded Let's Plays on Youtube. It was a lot of fun!

I'd love to read about you starting your life on a deserted island. I'd love to see your pictures and discover what you experience on your first days into the game. So I ask you: will you write a diary or something similar when the game releases? Do you already have plans how it's gonna be like?

I for myself definitely plan to document my island life. I don't know for sure how, but it's set. In the TBT 3.0 thread it is mentioned that there might be ways to have a blog about your town in the new version of the board. If that doesn't work out, I might create a new tumblr blog and link it in my signature. Even if no one wants to read it, I want to have that for myself and collect all these memories for years to come.

So, tell me about your plans or if you don't have any at all!

Yeah but my Gamestop close the day of release so I didn't get the physical diary pre-order bonus. Otherwise I would write a lot about AC as my life is as boring as a fish out of water. But digital is still the way to go with AC despite my hate for digital.

I always used mine in PG. <3 Ran out of space quickly, but it was still fun to have a medium other than letters/bulletin board in-game.

I've still been keeping my pen-and-paper journal. I'm jotting down things about events, if I completed building/funding something, move-ins (and hopefully move-outs), and ideas on how I want to set things up and plan the island. Sometimes I only jot a few lines down, other times I've written a page or two.

At the back, I put a tracker for villager birthdays and a list for name, move-in, and move-out dates. That way, I can keep track of who was here, when.
