I want to refrain from time traveling as long as the game gives me enough to do on a daily basis. It adds a lot of charm to the game to have to wait for certain things to happen (e.g. shops opening). But I know myself, if the daily tasks of the game get boring after a couple of months, I might time travel eventually.

I really wouldn't mind if they'd prevent time traveling this time. If I'm forced to slow down and give things time, I might enjoy the experience even more after all.

Animal Crossing is a lot more fun when played normally. ^^

Maybe -- JUST MAYBE -- after a year or so if it being out, but it is not something I will be doing anytime soon.

Only TT’d for daylight savings in NL. Since the Switch internal clock does DLS automatically I won’t have to do any TT.

Nope. From personal experience of TTing and not TTing, I find not TTing much more rewarding overall and more natural for my play-style.

I probably will after the game has been out for a long time. Also, if I'm playing late at night and want to access something I'll probably alter the time too, though I don't really see that as TTing. Considering we are building our own town from scratch, hopefully we can naturally decide on shop opening times like ordinances in NL so that isn't as neccesary.

I work sundays so I will tt back a few hours to buy turnips then tt forward to correct time.

Yep. My schedule is unpredictable, so there’s been a lot of times where I’ve had to time travel to be able to attend events, or go to the store. So I’ll probably be time traveling to fit that. And if the first day of New Horizons is as slow as New Leaf was, I’ll probably time travel to the next day just to be able to do more things.

I never time travel across days and won't in New Horizons either. However, I am only able to play late at night so I always set my system time 3-4 hours ahead so shops will be open and I can do normal activities. If I only played at my regular time every day, I'd never get to buy or sell anything. I don't really consider it time travelling because once my time is set, I don't usually change it except for Daylight Savings, but I guess technically it does count.

That is the most I would do, though. And if they let the shops stay open late enough, I wouldn't even have to do that. I prefer playing each day as it comes. That is the most enjoyable and relaxing way to play for me.

For the first year, maybe two, I will not TT. But, once I have everything unlocked and have "completed" the game, I probably will. Once there's nothing left that I'd have to wait to unlock, I don't mind TTing to switch the time of day, or change it to a festival day if I know I won't be able to play on the actual day of the event. Small things like that don't feel like cheating to me.

It is a necessity for me.

I live my real life in real time. I play AC to escape. I don't play it to wait and wait. I like to time travel. The game in the past can get very boring, very quickly for some, if all we are doing is waiting.

I put maybe because I don't think I'd want to miss anything special, so if I missed an event or so because I had work or was too busy, I'd probably allow myself to play that day first and then move on to present day. I just gotta know first what the exact repercussions would be, I don't want to mess the game up of course.

When I start the game I'll set the in game clock 4 hours back. I play late at night and starting at 4pm in game for ACNL worked.

After a year I plan on jumping one day ahead for my main island. Play holidays with the villagers and than enjoy it with my family the next day. For my 2nd island after a year I might leave it in spring/summer. I like to have a town set in warm weather.

I have in NL and probably will in NH. I study full time and work weekends, as well as a mum of 2 so I dont get on till late. Its usually just to catch the shops, visitors, if I didnt I wouldn't be able to enjoy the game.

I think I will only if I miss something during the day because of school or work. I tt'd a lot in New Leaf when I started getting bored, but I hope that won't happen any time soon in NH

Honestly, if it's available, then yes. If I hadn't discovered TT was possible, I don't think I'd ever call Animal Crossing one of my fave series right now. I wasn't really used to playing games that had time work the way it does in AC, so barely got any progress going and this was after NL has been out for over a year. so I was seeing a lot of the things to look forward to online and was getting impatient. I'm hoping I don't do it much now tho, as I understand where people are coming from about letting it just be. So while I know I'll use it, I'm definitely gonna tone it down, especially since this is a new game for us all.

I will just for holidays, and certain days only because I work third shift so the times I will get to play may not be ideal. I don't want to TT, but I also don't want to miss anything.
