Will you abandon New Leaf?

I don't think I'll ever fully abandon it. I'd only abandon it if I lost my game cartridges. I love everything about this game, so leaving it behind will really hurt me in the long run. I may not play it as much, but I'll never leave it.

I restarted my town when the update came, but kinda stopped playing for about a year up until a few weeks ago. My goal is to make my town as perfect as I can, then upload a new dream address by the time the next game comes out as a goodbye to New Leaf.

I'll most likely play it in the future for nostalgic purposes, though. I still have a copy of Wild World I like to play when I am in the mood, but I will most likely only regularly play the new game once it does come out.

The great thing about Animal Crossing is that even the old outdated games are super playable, with all of them having their own quirks & traits. And pleasant nostalgia runs strong! Even if it's not regular / dedicated play.

I'm just glad we still have from a few months to a year+ to really get into the last wave of New Leaf before the next generation arrives. ^~^

If they remove online play (i.e. the Dream Suite) I'll probably stop playing it since I mostly like to visit other peoples' towns and see how they decorate their town. It's just interesting to see the amount of creativity each town individually has, and it would make the game not nearly as enjoyable if they took it out.

I will never abandon new leaf! Too many memories and I love my current town a lot. Plus I received a letter from Chester yesterday that said “I had an horrible dream, you were leaving our town forever! Please promise me you’ll never leave!” I mean, I could never hurt that sweety pie Chester!! ^__^

not for a while. i'm probably only going to get the switch for my birthday in the spring of next year, which may or may not be after the new ac gets released. but if i get the switch before the new ac is released, i probably will stop playing nl because i'm not attached to my current town (i restarted a few weeks ago and it's just ... meh).

I just ordered new leaf I haven?t been able to play In so long and been thinking about buying it even before I found out they was making one for the switch comming next year. I assume I will play both I?m sure each game will be different in their own way and like any game we always come back for the different feel of the game we been missing. I will defiantly play switch more but I won?t atop new leaf all together

No way! I assume the new game is for the Switch (correct me if I'm wrong) and I have no intention of buying a Switch for the new game! I'm pretty sure when ACNL came out I got a new DS so I could play it... but I love the DS and as much as I can understand the appeal of the Switch, I can only see myself sticking to a DS for a long time to come!

I'm just now restarting my town, and I'm hoping to play every day for a year this time, so I won't be. If anything, I'll just be playing both at once.

most likely. since getting the game, i have taken several long breaks from it. however, i never ditched it entirely as i always came back to play eventually. i came back after not playing for several months not too long ago and am currently playing the game around once a week or less, but i think that Animal Crossing Switch will be the final blow that makes me put New Leaf down for good aside from maybe picking it up every couple of months for nostalgia.

just like i stopped playing ACGC as much to play WW, and i stopped playing WW to play NL, I will probably leave NL for Animal Crossing Switch.

I already did almost all of the New Leaf content and already stopped playing. I see no reason to stick to it when the new game comes out. The Switch isn't that expensive and I can easily have saved for it when the time comes.

i dont have switch so unless they release a new animal crossing for ds no, i wont stop playing new leaf! and even then, i doubt id abandon my town completely, i still have a lot to do

New Leaf is amazing, and I will keep playing it until it releases... but it has been a very long time, and I am ready to retire it come next year. I may play it a little every day for fun, but it definitely won't get my full attention.
