Ive already abandoned it but still play it occasional to help other bell trees friends.
Ill play it occasionally for nostalgia etc

I have already abandoned it. A lot of my friends moved on and so have I. I probably wouldn't have if I highly invested in my town to make it look perfect, but I don't really do that and just play with friends.

I honestly I already abandoned New Leaf. I have played 2500+ hours of this game and I'm pretty sure that's more than enough. I sometimes would like to go back to the game but I'm intentionally staying away from it. I'm scared that I may burn out of the new game easier after having played New Leaf again.

Also it's been like 2 or 3 years now since I last played regularly so I'd have to do so much boring stuff to fix up my town again... Not happening! :p

With AC switch coming next year, I'll still play it because that's where I first started in this franchise. Sure, it may not be as often anymore but I can't abandon my favourite villagers I had for a few years now!

I'm with everyone here that I already periodically abandon NL and only play in bursts, but I stuck on far longer than usual this time to explore Welcome Amiibo (yes, I didn't notice it for almost two years). The Switch announcement was timed masterfully, since I recently decided my town and houses were complete and was even considering buying another NL cartridge because I don't have much else to do with it.

I think the only way I'd really stop playing New Leaf is when the online gets disabled.

Now today I'm saying that I might even abandon nintendo one day because this online paying this is stupid because nintendo online always had there games free online and people irl are saying the the same thing about how stupid that you have to pay online even your already paying for internet.

Like the others said if online option gets disabled Its very unlikely to keep playing new leaf

I guess I will not be playing New Leaf anymore, when Switch version comes out in the future.

I might still play it just for my friends that can’t afford a switch. But, if the player transfer returns on the switch (Which is likely. The only reason we couldn’t do it with CF to NL was because our characters height was increased. Or something else) you know what I’m gonna do.

On second thought, maybe not. But I’ll reconsider on this one.

We're probably still more or less a year out from Animal Crossing Switch's release so no. I may keep playing New Leaf simultaneously with AC Switch for a while too.

You can pry my ACNL from my cold, dead hands.

...I do own a Switch, but I am less than enthusiastic at the news that there's a AC Switch game coming next year.

I got into New Leaf late, just last fall, and I don't own or plan to own a Switch. So I'll stick with New Leaf until whenever I get bored of it.

I hope they don't disable online for it, though. I don't play online much, but I do like to visit dream towns. Plus, if I ever create another town I'd want to be able trade with myself.

I'll keep playing up until it's released. Then I'll transition over, and will eventually just stop playing New Leaf.

Yeahhhhhh, I've been drifting away from it for a while so this is pretty much the final nail in the coffin

Sadly I?ve pretty much have abandoned New Leaf a while ago. AuraMist?s final update was back in June.
As much as I loved this game, I eventually got too burned out, and I just couldn?t find the motivation to play anymore.
I?m definitely not done with AC as a whole, in fact I?m really looking forward to AC Switch next year! I just need a long break from NL. I?m really looking forward to the future of AC, and hope for a positive future for the series.

Nope, no time soon.. besides I don't own a Switch right now.

I'm still not planning to abandoned my New Leaf towns...yet at least, I just made a new one like a week ago (it is going to be the last copy I buy though).

I dunno. I'd say probably... yeah... Over time, especially if the Switch game is amazing.
