I know it's not even be thought of yet, but what do you think Nintendo should bring out for Wii Menu 4.2, I think personally, they should allow people to use Action Replay for Nintendo Gamecube and the ability to play DVD's without hacking, what do you all think?

Bring some good ideas for the topic, as I also think they should allow us to get 1,000,000 Blocks of Wii Storage space.

they where thinking about putting netflix on it but if I would wanted a new thing on the wii it would be a way that I could put my old snes and n64 games on my wii

Meh... a DVD player would be impossible to do. It's not like you just update it and wham, there's a DVD player, they have to program it within every wii manually. Also 1,000,000 blocks is impossible I think. But I guess it could be.

EDIT: The DVD quality would be meh anyways. Also, I don't think Nintendo wii was going to be in the works with netflix, they've got XBOX as their partners while Blockbusters has PlayStation 3 to partner up with it. So wii's left with something crappy.

Considering the Wii is a family-oriented console, they probably assumed that most families already have a DVD player.

Your better off hacking your Wii.

being able to play other games on wii then wii games like how the playstation did.
? Playstation doesn't have that feature... And if it did Nintendo would be sued by the dozen.

Playing CDS and DVDS would be nice....

But like Nikoking said, updating your Wii won't add that function automatically. They would have to program every person's Wii that wants it.

There isn't much Nintendo can do through online downloads besides changing the appearance of the menu itself, and adding small online features.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to add 1,000,000 blocks of memory to the Wii through digital updating, as a manual upgrade would surely be required for a change as big as enlarged memory.

This. You'd have to send it in. Or at least then should make a way that they could use external memory. (No, the and cards don't count. You can't but Brawl and stuff on it.)

Let's hope 4.2 does include a DVD player.

They could try releasing a new channel too ... That wouldn't hurt ...

Also, I don't see the use of a DVD player too. I mean, most people here should have one, so why watch it in crappy wii quality when you can watch it in standard definition?

People like having a load of features that they'll never use just so they can brag about having them.

The only thing I wanted is an updated flash for Wii-net, the ability to copy and paste, and the ability to save pictures from the internet onto your wii.

Yeah, I guess so. A perfect example of this is the Internet Channel. Everyone on this site (Except ryudo) are using computers, why have a channel where you're using the internet in a hard to use way when you could just simply do it faster and easier on normal computers? The advantage to the internet channel are the wii flash games specifically made for it.

Ditto.

And no more Youtube XL.
