Why won't Snake move?

Okay. I spent nine hours yesterday and an hour and a half so far today trying to time travel Snake into boxes for a trade, but he hasn't pinged ONCE. Every other villager in my town(aside from the most recent move-in, which is NOT Snake) has pinged to move at least twice so far, even villagers I had a very low friendship level with and villagers who were the only personality type in the town. I have ten villagers.

Do I just have incredibly bad luck, or is there something I'm missing? Has this happened to anyone else?

it's happening to me too with blanche. tried tting her out a month or so ago and she wouldn't leave whilst everyone else has tried multiple times so i've stopped tting for a while...

be patient and bear with it. That's what I do when there's a villager I can't stand in my town. It also helped to ignore them so it's easier to bear.

He's just being a real butt. J/K. I have had this with some villagers, too, especially the ones I plan to give away to people for their dreamies. They seem to know that you want them out and then they rebel, plant their little feet firmly, and say, "NO! You had better put up with me so when I move for real you'll miss me!"

Talk to him a lot. That usually works.

Try talking to him and then talking to everyone but him with a non-mayor.

Haha, that's exactly what I feel like is going on, too! It worked for a little bit, because I started to grow attached to him for a while... but then I got frustrated and the feelings went away, LOL.

I tried to talk to him a lot and send him letters for the first few time-travelled months, but around June or July I gave up, since other villagers with whom I hadn't spoken or sent letters had pinged to leave, and I figured it wasn't necessary and was just eating up my time. Some of my villagers have pinged over a dozen times at this point!

I'm not sure if he has anything for sail in Re-Tail, but I know that other villagers with items for sale in Re-Tail have pinged to move while their items were up for sale. Unless it's possible for items in Re-Tail to be bought without a player character buying them or being present to influence a villager's decision to buy, but I don't think it is.

This is not true. Where you heard this from, I have no idea. But villagers will ping to move if they have something in ReTail.
