Bridges don't take up space on land. Even if they did, they'd only take up one square away from the river. So why can I not build a bridge because my house is a solid 5 or 6 feet away from the river? This is not okay.

Edit: I'm gonna scream.

I hate that so much! And its not fair that villagers can plant their houses one space from the bridge. I have a default cobblestone bridge that's in a great spot, but I want to replace it with a nicer bridge type. I never will because Erika house is right there...

Ugh. I'm thinking of having someone hold my dreamies and items for a bit and resetting because If there's anything I regret, it's that I can't build a bridge in front of my house. It would be a huge hassle though... Edit: on second thought, it took months to get the fully upgraded shop...

I redid all my bridges with the zen ones and then when I wanted to do the last one beau was in the way soo I had to make him move :'( but I'll get him bck xD !!

I literally complained about this on another thread;

Today I learned that PWPs even remotely close to the river where you want to build a bridge will interfere.

I had to destroy my bench and a streetlamp to replace this bridge. Because my bench and streetlamp were 'in the way' even though they were there when I had my other bridge type.

I was replacing my suspension bridges because the fairy tale bridge was finally requested (thanks Chrissy) and I had to, in total, destroy 3 streetlights and 1 bench to replace my two bridges.

I was kinda mad about the streetlights, but I at least partially understood (I guess they were kinda in the way) them, it's the bench that made me angry.
