Why the hate on monkey villagers?

I never knew there was any hate for monkey villagers, honestly.

I had Deli for a while, he's the only tolerable one for me

I don't really get how any of the monkey characters look like porn stars or anything of the sort. Elise looks like a nerdy middle school girl more than anything to me. ._.

I quite like Tammi as she was in my City Folk town. The only Peppy I liked actually.

They dont look like anything of the sort, Elise looks like an ugly nerd girl or something... and the rest look like monkeys.

Everything is over-sexualized nowadays Gizmodo.
Even if a girl offers a child a tissue for its nose she's called a pedo by its mother. It's just the way the world is going.

But Elise reminds me of that TV/Flim trope where a girl is supposed to be ugly and they give her a 'makeover' by taking off her glasses and brushing her hair and she's suddenly supposed to be beautiful.

They throw poo...but that's not why I dislike monkey villagers, I just don't like their faces.

The only monkey I've had is Elise. Her greenish gray fur, blue ears, giant lips, huge glasses, hideous mole, and the fact that she's snooty made me loathe her immediately. She wasn't too bad once you got to know her, but I still voided her (and got 2 pictures in the process). She now haunts my main street. XD

As for the comments about her being a porn star... I'm going to stay away from main street... 0.0
