It's one of the best zelda games imo. It had very funny dialogue, a fun travel system, they fixed the central dungeon, where you only have to repeat parts if you want extra goodies. Why is it so hated? Is it just because of Phantom Hourglass?

I only played that one briefly but considering PH was one of the worst.. Idk I never liked that toon link island exploring... and the touch screen mechanics in PH were the worst.. like ya I drew that shape now let me pass?! And the movement and button were mapped crappily.

I played my friend's PH when I was really young. I remember drawing he shapes but the game idiot do anything, and I had no idea where I was supposed to go or what to do. But then again, I was in second grade and since it was my friend's she was in some random place in the game where I'm assuming the tutorials end.

I thought the travel system was pretty lame, actually. I felt it was pretty repetitive, and it didn't feel as epic as sailing the ocean. Although sailing in WW and PH was tedious as well, at least it gave us more freedom. I also felt the story was pretty weird for a Zelda game. wtf were the lokomos supposed to be anyway?

Half-machine, half-human, protecting some train tracks that nobody really used until Tetra's party landed there.

I thought Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were all right. Being able to play the game with just the stylus was neat, and I didn't have any trouble with drawing the symbols. There were some minor things I would've liked to see (like Heart Pieces), but I understand that with a DS cart they didn't have a lot of space to work with. They're just fun little games that tried to do something different, before the fanbase started crying about the Zelda team having to do something different.

I feel it's best not to pay too much attention to the Zelda fanbase in general. In a recent example, people got excited over the thought of a gender select in Zelda U, while those same people whined when Linkle was revealed with the express reason that it was "just a female Link". There's no pleasing them, so why pay attention to them at all?

It wasn't bad, but it was miles better than Phantom Hourglass. Wanted to play it again but I can't find it. :/

Still better than the Fire Emblem fanbase!

ya, tbh the traveling was lame and some dungeons were broke(so were the drawing can it was sensitive asf and one millimeter wrong and you have to redo it 135 time).

I really couldn't tell, since I enjoyed the game so much. It's actually high in my fave-ranking of Zelda games, maybe the fourth?

Not sure, I've enjoyed all Zelda games thus far and begun to see the charm of using different animation styles. =o

I love this game! The story is nice and the little side quests are really fun (i enjoy hunting bunnies so much omg)! Also the download play multiplayer is awesome!

One of these days I'm gonna borrow this game from my brother and see what the fuzz is all about.

I thought Zelda fans considered Wind Waker the worst game. In fact, that's part of the reason Nintendo made Twilight Princess-because its art style was different from Wind Waker and the trend that had continued from there.

Fans only really hated kt when it came out. Now, fans agree that it's one of the best,

Zelda fans collectively changed their minds on WW a few years ago. TP and SS also have a bunch of haters, but TP has been getting more love in the last year or two. I assume SS will follow the same trend eventually.

And maybe PH and ST as well.

I didn't like TP before playing it, because I only saw the Ordon people designs and a bunch of Midna's dialogues. So of course I disliked it, children were ugly and Midna was a total *****! And actually my opinion about these remains the same, but after actually playing I enjoyed it very much because the story is awesome (doing my best ignoring the imp though).

About SS, already commented I liked it in another thread. But Wind Waker... I disliked it before, disliked it while playing and totally dislike it nowadays. That game had no difficulty at all, and I was playing on emulator which is worse, and still got me yawning 90% gameplay. Story was also stupid and too much empty ocean made it look slow as turtles. Besides, for some reason, the Link in this game gave me a vibe of being ********.

No offense to anyone who likes it, please, this is just my sincerest opinion :)
