I don't understand why people can't sell their villagers or items for a reasonable price and are so freaking greedy. I've been looking everywhere for Marshal and I can't find someone who will sell him to me for anything lower than 20mil.
This is partially why I don't like this form because of how greedy people are, but I continue to use it in hopes that someone has a heart somewhere and will be reasonable!

Yup, there are a lot of opportunists out there, but I've met a lot of generous people, too, so don't give up!

I don't mean to be rude, but generalising this whole forum as greedy is a bit mean.

If you were to actually look hard enough, you'll see there are plenty of cyclers who give away countless villagers for free (regardless of their popularity status).. You just gotta do some hunting, which I know is difficult for some people, they just expect to be handed what they want on a silver platter, and that's not how life works.

Besides, as someone who's been around the VTP for a number of months, I can tell you the price of Marshal on this site (and other villagers) is MUCH lower than other sites, such as Tumblr, Reddit and Facebook.

Well screw you too sunshine.

Your response in my thread doesn't really inspire generosity.

There are plenty of raffles and giveaways for Marshal that you can obtain him for free from if you don't want to pay high prices for him. They just require luck and patience.

It's supply and demand. There's more people that want Marshal than there's Marshals that are available.I got my Marshal by doing the villager reset trick.Didn't pay a single bell for him.If you have an extra NL cartridge,he's actually fairly easy to get when you do a town reset.

Yup...I've given away four Marshals during my cycling.

It's simple.

Alot of people want Marshal.
People are willing to pay high for something they REALLY REALLY want. This might be a tad rude, but go big, or go home. 500k bells won't get you much, and rude comments on threads will get you nowhere.

Who are you to say what's greedy and what isn't? Just because you can't afford something doesn't mean the entire forum is greedy. Supply & Demand.

Yo, that's just cold. People giveaway their Marshal in this forum every single day. Either by raffle or cycling. You don't really need to buy him. All of us are helpful and we try our best to get each other's dreamies, so generalizing the whole forum as greedy is quite mean.

wHAT
How can you complain about people being greedy and then be rude to Xanarcah, who gave me Julian for an awesome reasonable price. I think you might be feeling just a wee bit entitled, darlin. Marshal, like any animal, can be obtained in a multitude of ways and you will get him if you're patient. Be steady, now.

With your attitude and disregarding of cyclers, I don't think you even deserve to make a thread pertaining to "greedy" people. It is rather mean. There are so many cycling threads and I see Marshal giveaways everyday. Just because you don't win doesn't mean you give up. You're not obligated to Marshal just because you enter a raffle. Lol.

I gave away a free Julian not long ago.. Along with a Zucker, Rosie, Molly, and Ankha.

I've seen several people give him away fro free, I also paid 15 mil for him here so your statement certainly cannot be taken as facts.
You will find greed everywhere, its a nasty part of life, thankfully most of the time generosity prevails :)

I've seen Marshal and many other popular villagers on here by given away or raffled. Besides, isn't it greedy to expect free/low price villagers from people all the time? They may need those bells for buying another villager they want, what's wrong with that?

I'm not sure I would spend that much on a villager, but it's not greedy to sell something at it's value, supply and demand. If you don't want to pay that much then reset for him or keep trying with giveaways and raffles. A lot of people want Marshal, so obviously he's not going to be that easy to get cheaply.

I'm finding this thread kind of funny because... it's a character in a game, there's really no point in being so worked up over it to the point of throwing a tantrum and calling everyone on this forum greedy.

The reason why Marshall is usually expensive is pretty simple. There's lots of people who want Marshall, he's a very popular villager, so he ends up fetching high prices at auctions.

There's lots of ways to get Marshall for free, since lots of cyclers give villagers away even when they're popular, or sometimes there's giveaways and contests for popular villagers.

20 million bells isn't that hard to make if you're determined, either. You can save up in your game, buy turnips and visit towns with high turnip prices to make a profit (people make millions really easily that way), and you can convert TBT into in-game bells, so if you keep posting on the forum (quality stuff, not rude and immature posts and no spam) you'll amass a decent amount of TBT that you can convert into the money you want in the game.

Maybe if you weren't complaining that people are "greedy" for selling a villager (that they've sometimes put an effort into getting, or want to make sure he goes to someone who wants him enough to make that effort) you'd have the money to buy him in no time.

And if you never get him? Calm down, it's a character in a videogame, not a matter of life and death.

I earned 27 million bells without even trying. And I agree with this post. Why are you so ticked off by a video game? You can get Marshal sooner or later. Patience is virtue.

I wouldn't call 'everyone' or even one person greedy just because of something like this. Of course Marshal goes for a high price. There are many people who love him and want him in their town so badly that they are willing to pay millions for him. Maybe you could try different things to get him? Like looking for giveaways, raffles or something like this until you have luck or enough bells to buy him.

... In my case, I personally didn't pay a single bell for him, instead I resetted my campsite for days (even though I was actually looking for a different villager at that time). So maybe you could try something like this too? You may be lucky who knows. You will have him sooner or later~ .. Good luck.
