it's does happen everywhere, but the ugliness of it differs. to me youtube comment section doesn't come close to DAs, it's as bad as 4chan. the sad thing about it is that it's supposed to be a place for creative talented people, what a waste..
as I said before, I still like DA for the amazing art and the many tutorials it provides, but the community and most people there are on acid....especially the sonic fandom, it's funny because I know many people from that fandom and has done many art requests, but it is bad. you can't deny it

Just bc something is done technical well doesn't mean the art is good. That's a really silly way to think lol. Next time there's a movie you really don't like bc it's it's dull and boring or just plain stupid are you gonna think,"oh the acting was really on point and the cinematography was beautiful so the film must therefore be a masterpiece"

I can't get 1000 watchers from today to tomorrow, I'll work hard to achieve that in 100 years xD
I just use it to spread my art through the world, get a few nice comments and favorites here and there, and that's it. And it works (slowly)
Fetishes and stuff don't bother me at all (look at my Luffy fetish, lol) tbh I find it rather interesting xD
Of course, sour things can happen, but that can everywhere. Someone once put one of my artworks into his group "artist dirty cancer" where the creator of the group ranted about artists and wished they would die. Of course, the group and the account were deleted. Things like this can happen, it's the Internet after all. You just need to have the strength to step over incidents like that and go on
