yeah there's not that many benches in the game, and even less actually look good as benches, and since they're a random diy it's a lot more coveted. i've had that diy for a while but i'm on the look out for the regular garden bench for once my island is at least somewhat able to be decorated lol

I actually am looking for a bench rn and it’s because there aren’t that many pretty looking benches in the game. I only have the log benches and it’s super basic looking imo.

i'm so lucky to get it on my first week.
it can be placed anywhere & can fit any island vibe you're going for, i feel like (of course by customizing it too). it would fit natural islands, town looking islands, foresty islands, anything really. the log benches are good & all, but it's not as versatile. i use that more as a table lol.
