Why do people want The Roost back?

I enjoyed staying in the cafe in NL, talking to villagers and doing the job there.
Which is why I want the Roost back, its a small reason from myself though.

Honestly, I just want another building on my island. I know this sounds more like a personal issue, but it is kinda lame to only have two shops and the museum on your island. I wanted to build a little city and The Roost would fit perfectly to it. Besides, I kinda enjoyed the mini games from New Leaf, even if they were may not such big deals, it was fun to do them.

Otherwise, I would welcome it a lot if it comes back in a updated form, with more to offer than just coffee.

i played the coffee gameplay a lot for like a few months in new leaf but then never touched it again. i just like brewster as a character and i think it's sad that it's just gone. i don't need the same gameplay with giving villagers coffee, i just want brewster

I personally cannot wait for the Roost to come back if that is the case. I like the idea of having another shop too. Something else to do! I am hoping Katina (spelling?) comes back as well. Maybe we can get Kapp'n too. Maybe we can get a new shop with a completely new character as well.

• more npcs from previous games is always nice
• if it's a separate building, i can design a lil outdoor eating/sitting place for it which is cool
• if it functioned like acnl's cafe, then your villagers and "off-duty" npcs could visit which is neat
• food.

it would be nice if Brewster/Brewster-adjacent npc came with gyroids and gyroid storage, and the gyroid storage was something you could visually see. it's fun to collect things imo.

i'd prefer for it to be a separate building simply bc i feel like there isn't anymore space in the museum for it to be realistically added onto, and i also like going into multiple different buildings every day rather than just a one stop shop. it would stink for ppl who have already completed (or are close to completing) their islands, and i think if i were close to that in my island development i would feel the same way. but the heart wants what the heart wants.

I'd second this point about only having two shops as well.

In New Leaf our islands were filled with so much, and while they've done a great job with New Horizons compacting functions and features into less buildings or even furniture (Hair styling in mirrors etc). Our islands do need more buildings to help them grow over time and give us more to do each day. Brewster and the Roost just fits in perfectly, as the social hub and relaxing spot plus acts as a nice place to have a break.
