Why do people trade perfect fruit?

You can't plant them or they'll turn into normal fruit, and you can have them as ornaments but you don't need baskets full. I don't see why people would want other perfect fruit.

You can sell them in your own Re-Tail and get more for them, especially if they're on premium. Sometimes villagers also ask for perfect fruit, or they'll ask for non-native fruits and your friendship goes higher if you give them perfect versions of those.

People often trade perfect fruit for one or two reasons:

1) Being that perfect fruit from another town sell a lot more in a different town. So let's just say, you have perfect pears. If you give that person who came over your town some perfect pears, then they will sell for more at their town then they would at your town. Or vice versa.

2) People like to collect perfect fruit so that they can often show it off for decoration or just to collect. Since you can only have your native fruit as your perfect fruit (ex. If you have pears as your main town fruit, then you can only get perfect pears) People often will ask around for other town's perfect fruit since that is the only way to get them.

Fair profits if you have a different fruit, and they're good for easy villager favors that will increase happiness more, also they look nice.

I trade so that I can give them to villagers who ask for that fruit, it's nice to have them available and villagers are very happy when given a perfect fruit.

I also use some for decoration in one of the rooms in my main town mayors house.

I'm always on the hunt for more perfect oranges (native fruit in my main town) so I can plant more perfect orange trees, but I've kept that search within my game; never bought perfect oranges from other players for that purpose.

Now, when it comes to my secondary town, I just started it, and got cherries as my native. I don't know what it is about cherries but I absolutely hate the way they look. It's totally irrational I know, but I think the perfect ones are much more aesthetically pleasing (as they're intended to be, I'd imagine) so when I was buying fruits from fellow players yesterday, I did specifically ask if anyone could offer perfect cherries - so I could get rid of the normal cherry trees and plant ones that look much prettier.

Otherwise, as has been said, people can sell them for a fair amount of bells. Some just like to display them. I'm thinking I might keep some of the perfect fruits I bought yesterday and show those off around my house in some kind of kitchen-y room, just because they look so nice.

I trade for perfect fruits, because when my villagers ask me for a non-native fruit, I like to give them a perfect one.

I've heard that giving them perfect fruits helps to raise the friendship levels.

Perect pears are very pretty, they are shiny and golden! Also in real life yellow and golden pears are the most delicious pears depending on ripeness.
I traded for perfect fruit to collect all of them, and for my villagers when they ask for fruit because it helps with friendship.

Most people just buy them in bulk so when Retail is buying it for premium they can make some money.
Either that or people just like how they look in their homes/save them to give to villagers to raise friendship levels!

Perfect fruits are rather nice looking decorative items.
Also, it's always lovely to see how happy your villagers are, when they ask for 'any fruits' and you specially give them perfect fruits.

I want them for my fruit/plant stand in my museum. They look pretty with the plants.
My villagers only get perfect fruit for a request. I just have one tree of each regular fruit.
Sometimes selling a some baskets of perfect fruit will get you premium. My online friend dropped by and sold her perfect cherries when it wasn't premium. That town got premium perfect cherries all the time. I would PM her and she would come over and sell.
Another was person drop by with peaches but not a lot. That one came up on the board.
One week I had perfect cherries, orange and peaches at premium.

Personally I like using them for decoration and occasionally giving to villagers I really like when they ask for fruit.
