Why do people reset their towns?

I've had like 100 towns by now (oops)

My brother reset my town yesterday and it was sad :(

But they reset because of:

1. Map
2. Boredom
3. Sadness
4. Just a random thought reset
5. Just unhappy in general

I've resetted many times before, for various reasons! I can definitely see the appeal. It's a clean slate and you know what you want! However it is frustrating earning all the bells and trying to upgrade your house, but it also is fun working hard for everything! Sometimes I'll get into landscaping and realize the map.. just doesn't work anymore. Or somethig happens like a dreamie moves out and it's upsetting and I don't even know what do. Once i finished a town and didn't know what to do with my game anymore, then a villager ruined a big landscaped area so I reset. Sometimes I'll be on hiatus for a long time and a fresh town is just what I need to make me love the game again! It's really different for everyone. Sometimes it may even be something small like hating my town name or mayor name..
