Why do people hate uchi villagers so much?

A lot of people think they're the ugliest villagers but... I really don't think so? They look really cool. I really love the tomboyish thing many of them have going on.

People have also said something about them being mean, but I really don't see it? They're bold, but not mean. They're like the protective big sister type. They even give you medicine when you get bee stings, they really care about your character. They're bold and a little rough on the outside, but really protective and caring on the inside. Kind of like Sailor Jupiter or Sailor Venus (whom Mira is supposed to be referencing to). I feel like a lot of people just don't exactly "get" uchi villagers and just write them off as being rude? They're supposed to be like "tough girl with a heart of gold".

Or maybe people just don't like that kind of character? Well I guess that's okay too then. But personally I love it.

Because people are the WORST.

I love the personality so much, and while some of the designs are maybe a bit too bright, some of them are great; Mira is a superhero bunny and totally deserves to be tier 1, and Renee is cooler than Merengue.

Tammy, of course, is god-tier.

I know right? It's kind of sad...... I personally really like the Uchi personality and never found them mean >.< I just wish their was more to choose from! I really love Deirdre; she's in my top 10 favorite villagers for sure! I don't really see why she's so underrated, same with Mira D:

I like them. Their personalities are cute and caring ^.^ Deirdre was my very first dreamie, before the game even came out in the U.S. I still have her, and I've reset about 5 times now.

I don't know about the other uchi villagers, but I love my Phoebe, currently is the only uchi villager that I like it (and the only one that I know).

I guess just like in real life, some people might take things the wrong way. I've heard some people tend to find the Uchi characters abrasive and rude, especially in the beginning before they get closer to you. However, I love the Uchi villagers and think that their way of talking is a caring tough love kind of affection. My favorite will always be Cherry. She was one of my best friends and made me fall in love with Uchi's in the first place.

I think the time I really fell in love with Tammy was when I spoke to her with my face all stung by bees and she said "Who did this to you? Let me at them!".

Everyone else was all "oh no, bees, you should have some medicine", but crucially didn't actually give me any, but she said "take this medicine [hands it over] and fix that ugly mug quick!". What a babe.

I didn't like uchis much when I started playing New Leaf but they certainly have grown on me.I think they're misunderstood because this personality type isn't as well defined as lazy,cranky,jock,etc.....people know what to expect from those traditional personality types but uchi? When I first heard the word "uchi" it made me think of Charo, the oochi-koochie lady.I didn't really get it but now that I've had a few of them I like 'em.

Diva was the first uchi to give me a pic.

I don't hate uchis, but they aren't my favorite. There are some pretty cool ones out there though. Katt lived in my town a long time ago, and I really enjoyed her company.

I love the uchi personality and the PWPs, I just wish some of them had better designs. I get their designs are supposed to reflect their personality but majority of them just don't appeal to me, which is why none of them are dreamies in my main town. However I make up for it in my secondary town with two uchis.

Oh gosh that is adorable.
Imagine Tammy trying to attack bees.

Omg dude I completely understand. I freaking love uchi villagers, like caring big sisters are awesome, what's not to love? I think my favourite uchi villager would be Phoebe (she's an ostrich pretending to be a Phoenix like how can you not love that). I also really love Shari the monkey. I had her but she moved out of my town recently when I was TTing and did it by accident. Dx
But anyways yeah idk why people hate them, I don't see anything wrong with them. I for one never saw them as rude, bold yes like you said but definitely not rude. Bold characters are cool too, I really respect them tbh haha. Perhaps people are misinterpreting their scolding, slightly bossy (which is normal for an older sibling btw) attitude for rude and pushy or something. If someone whose playing doesn't have a sibling it would also make sense that they come across like that to them possibly. Just my thoughts. :)

I had no idea people hated uchis. They're my favorite personality! They have the best dialogues. I have Mira in my town and she's just lovely. There's a lot of ucchi villagers I would love in my town as well but Mira is my favorite. Muffy is so cute too

I certainly don't hate them them. I have one in each of my towns I think. Well not sure about my son's town but in my own towns I do. In my own cat town I have Katt who I love. She is tomboyish but very cool and always taking care of me. I also have Hazel in my other town Caprica yes she has that unibrow but so what she is super cool I think. I actually don't have a problem with any "type" of villager" it is a villager themselves I don't like. Like I don't like Zucker or a few other's I have had. It's is not their actual personally type but they themselves I didn't like. Sorry for repeating that last line lol.

I don't necessarily hate them, but they are my among my lesser liked personality types. And since Mira alone gave me every uchi PWP, there's not really much of a reason for me to have one in my town at this point.

I'm not a fan of Uchis. Not sure why, but I guess the set dialogue wasn't my sort of thing. I like the normals and the peppies better.
