Rosie: One of my starting villagers. The second I saw her in the plaza and then later went inside her house to visit, I thought "this one's a keeper". She's just
SO FREAKING ADORABLE, and her little house looks like something straight out of a 1980's valley girl movie. Plus, for one of my first ever favors, she gave me a mango (first tropical fruit), and she was also the first villager to give me her picture. Until a future villager comes and steals my heart away, Rosie will always be my little kitty BFF.
Lolly: Another starting villager. At the time, I had no idea she was so popular, but she instantly grew on me. Her design is adorable, and her house is just so warm and inviting. Her down-to-earth personality and her "bonbon" catchphrase also quickly won me over, and I love her little apostrophe eyes. Lolly shall also remain a permanent resident in my town.
Punchy: A third starting villager. This guy actually has a backstory: about half a year before I got ACNL, one of my pets, a little black kitten, was run over by a car. When I saw Punchy in the town plaza the first day, I got a little sad thinking about my dead pet, but once I got to know the lazy little schmuck, he started to grow on me. His face is so funny, and I love the attitude of the lazy villagers. After Rosie and Lolly, Punchy became the third permanent resident of my town, and to me, he'll always be the "reincarnation" of my lost little cat.
Walker: When I saw this little guy's plot pop up right beside my house one day, my first thought was "well, here's another one I don't really want/need". Once I saw his cute little mush, though, I began to get second thoughts. I also love how the game "barks" when he sings the town tune. I was torn for a long time on which of my two lazies to keep: Punchy, or him. But after giving it a lot of thought, I decided to keep them both in town. Walker is now my permanent next-door-neighbor, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Savannah: My newest villager. I'd wanted a second normal in my town for a while, and decided to either get Savannah or Margie, as I wanted my town to have more "wild" animals in it (I know she's supposed to be a horse, but she's a zebra to me, dang it). So when Stinky moved out, I managed to snap her up from the Trading Plaza, and so far, she's been a great addition to the town. I also like how her catchphrase is "y'all", as I'm a southerner at heart.
Astrid: Another of my five starters. I actually have mixed feelings on her, as most people tend to not think highly of her, and don't care for the way she looks. However, she's grown on me, and I've come to enjoy seeing her every day. Plus, I love how her house looks like a stereotypical "stay-at-home mom" house. She may just be a keeper for me after all...we'll see.
Rocket: First random move-in after I started my town. Seeing "Rocket" on the plot sign, I expected like an eagle or some other fast animal, so imagine my surprise the next day when I find a giant pink gorilla inside my town's newest house. Granted, she did move in a very good location, and has
kind of grown on me, but once my resident uchi villager decides to leave, I won't hold her back.
Purrl: I asked Purrl to move in from the campsite, just so I could get a tenth villager. Looking back, it may not have been the best decision, but I don't really regret it. Purrl is adorable, her house is very nice, and her house placement right next to the town plaza is really cute. I'm still torn whether I want to keep her or Astrid as my town snooty.
Fang: At first, I wanted to scream when I saw a house plot over the place where I wanted to put my new park, but once I saw it was Fang, I calmed down a bit. Apollo is my favorite cranky, but I do like the wolf villagers. I still plan to move him out to make room for Apollo, however.
Curlos: I didn't choose this little smug son of a monkey wrench, he chose
me, when he decided to plop his merry little house down right over a field of hybrid tulips. Granted, he's not the worst villager I've seen, and his house is pretty cool. But the first chance I get, Brown Annoying Sheep is gone.
