WHY!? (Data Corruption, ETC?)

So, I was playing on my second town in Animal Crossing like any other normal day, when all of the sudden everything glitched out! All my animal's skin and face turned black. Then everything was all invisable and the camera was messed up, then my screen turned black and my 3ds tuned off. I turned it back on and I saw this picture:

I litreally wasted a year of playing, i'm lucky it was my second town because I still have my first town (which was a limited edition version of ac sooo). BUT STILL IT SUCKED. Because here how I played. I made my limited edition version my "personal" town, while my second town was the pretty town which had all the bells, all the rare items, all the everything. IT SUCKED! i'm so mad........I'm happy my friend gave me a silver shovel and some clothes, But my main point is.. Why? Why did this happen!? I neveer exit without saving, never do anything bad about saving neveer do any of that. Why would my town just glitch like that!? If anybody could answer my question that would be great! Also if anyone could help me by giving me items that would be great... Also is there any way to get it back?! That town had also my dreamies and eveerything! AAGAGHAGAHAGHAG

Maybe it has to do with your SD card? But still I have never seen this error before, its weird

It is obviously photoshopped...Just zoom in on the grass, the speech box has been cut off on part of the edges, the grass is obviously cut and pasted...

there could be many reasons as to why your game corrupted. google is your best friend.

Because there is plenty of evidence that this could be fake.

And if there is any pictures of the villager glitch, show us a picture.

What can cause corruption:

-Crappy SD card
-Bad luck
-Not much space
-Duping (But my copies are PRONE to NOT corrupting)
-Powersaves
-Some other hala blah blah stuff that you can Google to look up.

Um, who cares if the photo was photoshopped? People geez it doesn't even matter. I don't mean to be rude but get over it.

@preet: Normally it has something to do with the SD card. If you opened a certain file on your computer when the SD card was inserted, then it can affect the game. It happens to people a lot, so you're not alone. It can also happen at random very rarely.
