Why can't we see villagers angry with each-other in conversation?

I know that you do see villagers occasionally walking around angrily, and then you talk to them and they say they're angry with a certain villager... but I've noticed that in every single conversation I've listened in on (over 30 of them, I'd say) - not one of them has ended with a villager being angry/upset. It seems that you only see them upset/angry if you don't listen in on the conversation. Why? That's so stupid. :mad:

hhng i never noticed that before - that kind of sucks ;u;

I always thought I had missed the conversations, but it seems that it's just programmed that way then! A shame, since it would make them even more alive (they truly feel alive already ngl, with them doing so many activities), if they reacted and kept the emotion after some conversations I've experienced ^^U

I noticed this too, I understand they have to cater to the younger generation which is why they've cut out a lot of the dialogue from villagers in WW that we miss. You never know - maybe Nintendo have a secret undercover TBT account and are making notes of the points we bring up xD

My theory is they don't leave angry/upset because having your character there serves as sort of a moderator.
That's a great theory! But we are missing the tea though u-u I liked that when I was a child

Yes I noticed this too! I'm pretty sure they would leave angry in other games. I distinctly remember a funny snooty conversation where they were both talking about how they both were bland and were being sarcastic with each other before they both would storm off angrily. I miss those moments.
