I'm using fertilizer, I'm planting them in a criss-cross pattern, im doing everything the guides say but all I'm getting maybe are 1-2 regular color flowers. About to give up.. What am I doing wrong? :C
do you have enough space for a hybrid to spawn?
the best way is to space them diagonally and bury fertilizer with a golden shovel in between the four flowers.
once more hybrids spawn, place those hybrids and start a new garden!
Try breeding them in a different area. While breeding orange tulips I would water the 5 cris-cros flowers every single day and buy fertiliser and got a yellow tulip if I was lucky. However since I moved them to a more spacious area of town I got 1-2 new orange tulips a day without fertiliser. So if your flowers are in a small confined area there are less chances for a hybrid to grow.
That has happened to me before. Sometimes you're just really unlucky and get nothing but the same boring normal flowers. What I recommend is using the criss-cross pattern, making sure you have enough space, and making sure to water them every day. The beautiful ordinance also helps to spawn more flowers.
Also, you can only water certain flowers a day so that they are more likely to produce another flower than others.
You could also try to get two hybrids from another ACNL player and breed those (since hybrids are more likely to breed other hybrids).
Good luck!
I have done this also, I have planted 4 lots of fertilizer in one spot between 4 hybrid red roses... made sure they were watered but not a single one has grown yet
Plant them in the spots where you notice hybrid grew on their own. Like the pink cosmos.
Main town like two spots on the beach.
Other town spot was near the city hall.
The 4 hybrid red roses may not be hybrids. I call them maybe red roses. It took about 40 maybe red roses collected from the orange/purple roses empty spots before I got one blue rose.
