How did you choose your dreamies? Do they fit a theme? Do you just like them? Do you intend on having all your dreamies and keeping them forever, or do your dreamies change with your town?

Mine are a combination of theme, cuteness, and what my village is lacking, my dreamies change with my town's needs. Some are backups in case anyone leaves, some are just the best option of a personality I don't have. If it were purely on looks I'd have way too many normal villagers.

I really only had three dreamies: Merengue I saw fanart of and it made me want to get the game, Bob because I wanted a villager from my original town on the Gamecube (plus he's my favorite from back then!), and Renee because I have a shirt with her on it. The shirt is some fanart of Renee, Fuchsia, Flurry, Whitney, and Sprinkle posing like they're in a stereotypical Japanese girl gang. That sort of informed my decision to keep Whitney and Sprinkle when they showed up in my town campsite.

(Also somewhat on topic, I just saw one of your dreamies, Sprinkle, for super cheap in the Villager trading plaza >.> http://www.belltreeforums.com/showthread.php?317685-(Unoriginal)-Sprinkle! )

Mine have updated since my sig was last done so I'll list them -
Cheri, Lily, Marcie, Coco, Beau, Maple, Julian, Erik, Marina and Flora

I'm currently cycling Erik after losing him in a careless TTing rampage, and other than that I have them all except Flora and Marina  I choose my villagers on looks or personality, a few of my dreamies didn't start out that way but once they moved in I fell in love.

Most of my dreamies are actually old villagers I gotten attached to from old playthroughs of animal crossing. only one or two are actually due to style.

Yep. That's why I wanted Walker so badly. I had him in my very first WW town but then he moved.

My other dreamies...Pekoe I thought she was adorable, Henry is a frog (I love frogs) and the only smug that really sticks out to me, Prince I had in City Folk and loved him. And Tom I'm just very emotionally attached to him. c:

I read 'what are your dreamies, dreamies' lol.
Well all wolves because I have a unhealthy obsession, and Walker and Mac because they are dogs that look wolfish, xD

YASSS WALKER BUDDIES

My dreamies tend to change over time, but I'm trying to put a good effort into really filling out my town and "finishing" it, so to speak with public work projects and the like.

In order to keep my town interesting, I make sure I have at least one of each personality, which gives me room to have two of two personalities. I don't have a particular theme, I just choose villagers I personally like. I don't pay attention to the popularity list on here in the slightest. (This has made it difficult to get some of those lower tier dreamies, sadly)

Well, almost all of the rabbit villagers are dreamies for the sole purpose of having an all-bunny tribute town.

Flurry was another dreamie of mine; she was in my campsite when I had no room for her, but someone was selling her on these forums and she's been living in my town ever since. ^_^

They were my favourite villagers that lived in the original Zooville on the gamecube.

That's how I play! I don't care about popularity at all and I don't have a theme. Dreamies are just whoever looks cute or whoever I am emotionally attached to. c:

My biggest dreamie is Teddy. I've had him in all my towns (gamecube, wild world, city folk...) so I need him in my ACNL town as well!! ^^ He is not that popular but I think he's hilarious and beyond cute. Other dreamies are... Stitches, which is one of my originals (lucky me!), Diana, whom I saw in my campsite and inmediately fell in love with... Elvis is another one I've had in other games and his cranky mood grew on me. :D I also think that they made him as a tribute to Elvis Presley which I think is really cool (or is that just me?)
I also really like Jacques, even though I wouldn't say he is one of my dreamies.. however, he is one of my originals and now I just don't see my town without him ^^

In short... my dreamies are my dreamies because I've had them before, I'm attached to them or I just love their style.

I chose mine based on looks and what fit my town theme. There are some I would love in my town but they don't fit my theme :/

When I started my game, I looked up all the possible villagers I could get. I picked my favorites of each species and personality. Then I compared the two lists, so I'd have one of each personality, but all different species. Since that only gave me eight villagers, I picked two more from different species to fill up my town. (Shh, Bianca and Rolf are different species. She's a snow leopard.)

because of their personality, their looks or because i've had them for a long tile and love them!! i don't have 10 dreamies that ate like ultimate goals, but there are villagers that i definitely want!! :>

I don't really have a solid set of dreamies, exactly. I'd consider the villagers I currently have and the ones I want to get to be dreamies.

Some of them just showed up in my town or in my campsite and I decided to let them stay. Others were villagers I liked while looking at lists or pictures of the game and decided to adopt from people. I try to keep my town balanced with different personalities, otherwise, it just depends.
