why are all adorable villagers normal personalities

That would actually be such a cool idea! To have one villagers with different personality types! I guess some people would get hella upset because they eventually get Raymond and he isn't a smug villager but a lazy one for example, but that would be a great idea to change the dialogue up!

I wish we had better distribution of cuteness between personality types bc I have a lot of normal and lazies I love but I have a hard time finding a grumpy I vibe with

I currently have 4 normals and it’s too much repetition, but it’s going to be hard to get rid of any of them. Spread the cuteness around, Nintendo!

This game I decided to get a bit more variety, in new leaf I would just have an island of lazy/normal and smug with one cranky (fang). I really struggled finding others I wanted.
This time I wanted to get a variety of species and personalities, my new island now has one of each personality type. But with the addition of 2 spare smugs because I love them too much. So I have Raymond, Marshal and Julian then Molly, Reneigh, Ketchup, Sherb, Fang, Judy and Dom. At some point I suppose Julian will move out so I don’t get smug overload. He will be replaced either with stitches or maple. It is very hard to narrow down the normals and lazies, there’s so many that are adorable and whom I love but for the sake of at least a little variety this time I’m going to try not duplicate too much

Sooo agree about wishing there were more personality variations with cuties... I made a list of my dreamies I hope to have and they're almost all normal! With just a couple peppy and snooty. They're also all females (not on purpose, I wish I liked the look of more male villagers)

Hopefully someday there will be more variety! Otherwise have to pick between cuteness or personality right now

I've had some interesting experiences with the normal type. Olive is my favorite villager by a long shot and her dialogue isn't too much different from Caroline's, but I hate Caroline. She's cute, but she's picked fights with almost every other villager at this point and I don't understand why. Olive gets along with everyone and I've seen her having the most adorable conversations with random villagers, but Caroline is always insulting everyone.
