why are all adorable villagers normal personalities

merengue kept pinging me to move out even though i kept telling her no, but eventually i let her go. that made me think it might be because i have too many normal type villagers, then i realized most of my favorites are normals

marina, merengue, alice, goldie, eunice, gayle, flurry, norma... they’re not all in my town but i love their designs!!

i wish there were more personality variants. or maybe that villager personalities were random when island hopping, like maybe you’d get a snooty merengue or uchi marina. their dialogue is basically the exact same when i talk to my normals

I have 4 normals right now (Merengue, Fauna, Marina, and Chevre). They really are all so cute! But also, my mystery islands kept giving me normal villagers last night, even though I already had three... Once I found Merengue, she was too adorable to pass up. Now I just have to come to terms with the fact that I will have to move one or two of them out at some point if I want any variety in my game. :/

when I got Bob I also had Zucker (Who I found super cute!!) but they kept repeating the same dialogue and I liked Bob a bit more than Zucker...I honestly can't have more than two of the same type ;;

I totally agree. Way more villagers could have been uchi to help break things up. So many rabbits have the same personality but none are uchi except Mira? Sigh

Yea I wish we had some villagers with more personality like Rhino's, ducks, and a few other villager types that need more personality types in their species

They should have changed some normals to be uchi or snooty so there'd be more of them imo, especially uchis

I'm the same way except with Peppy villagers. I actually have 4 of them right now and had to stop myself from adopting more lol

I agree with you there. I'm trying to find the balance in my town and I want one of each personality type at least. Currently I have made a list of villagers which I'd keep and rotate out but the normal ones really do have a lineup of some of my alltime faves. Especially Melba, Lily, Lolly & Coco.

Wish there was more Uchi which I liked. I just have Fuchsia because shes the only cute one (opinion)

i prefer smugs... i actually made the hard decision to cut a normal when i was figuring out who i wanted in my town and i have two smugs now with two more planned lol

as I scrolled down the villager list I realised that almost every villager I wanted was lazy lol. had to make some hard decisions on who to cut. ended up with two lazy villagers I definitely couldn't live without, being sherb and stitches

Yeah these happens to me as well, I honestly don’t like any Uchi villagers so my town will have none uchi.

I have 2 lazies, 2 peppies and 2 smugs.... wouldn't have it any other way, but I will say my one normal villager, lolly, is the cutest. she makes me feel bad for tting lol

I definitely wish some of the cute normal designs were sisterly, because I have a million normal favorites and no sisterly favorites. I want to keep a balance of personalities on my island, but I really want to take a third normal because I already have Coco and Merengue, who I love and don't want to ever leave, but Tia is my birthday twin! I'm definitely worried about having too much repetitive dialogue if I take all 3 though.

I love the normal villagers, as well as the Lazy type.

I currently have 2 normal, and I had 2 Lazy. So I told myself that I wanted a male Jock or Cranky. I spent 16 NMT. I really like most of the villager I saw, but I had my criterias!

I told myself that I was going to one last island (headhach and chores to do so I had to close my Switch), and that I will continue later tonight. The last island was Beau. I was tired of looking for a villager, and I like him.

So I now have 2 Normal and 3 Lazy. I really hope I'll have a cranky next time!

I really thought new leaf would add at least 2 more personality types, like big brother for boys and sleepy/carefree for girls....
