Who's taking part in the Halloween event in-game this year?

Oh, don't worry about that. There is still a long way until the end of the month so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get all the masks. I'd have to be really unlucky to miss one, but thanks anyway!
I kinda prefer the Mush furniture (I believe they start to appear in november?), but the Halloween event looks like fun. Trading with others is a good option if by any chance we end up getting repeated furniture.

No because I hate Halloween and I time travel
I might make myself a custom pro design costume, and invite someone over for a Halloween party in the "Costume Party" exhibit in my museum. I did that some years back, and it's still set up--so why not have fun with it? Last time, we danced in the party room, ran from villagers, posed for silly screenshots, set off fireworks, and played hide & seek.
The halloween event will be my first event ever in New Leaf since i recently purchased the game. I will be able to attend 100% since in my country we don't celebrate it so no parties for me. I probably have around 6-7 candies so far but i haven't purchased all the masks. Is that necessary?

The masks are used to scare your villagers in their house. If you wear the mask that they are afraid of, they will give you a lollipop. The lollipops can be traded to Jack for the creepy furniture series. Regular candy will most likely get you something from the spooky series. You can give candy to the villagers outside for hints on what scares the other villagers...or just use a guide online.
So, it depends on what you want, but if your interested in the creepy series, the masks are necessary. There's only 6 masks, I think. So you still have plenty of time to get them all.

ill definitely be taking part in the Halloween Event!! im so excited, it will be my 1st ever!! ive been TT to catch the Tarantula, ii sadly did not get it although ii did catch the Scorpion, so iam on my way back to October and will be waiting for the event!!!

Don't feel too bad about not catching a tarantula... I've been playing New Leaf since 2013 and i still have never caught a single one!

I got the entire creepy series last year, so I don't need to, but I enjoy playing with the villagers, so I've been stocking up on candy and I saved the masks from last year. I traded in all my lollypops last year, so I might save one this year. It might look nice sitting next to the basket of apples in my kitchen.
As much as I love Halloween, I'm rather looking forward to mushroom season, because there are two items I wasn't able to get last year. I'd really like to finish that series.
@vlr0316: Starting October 1st, you can buy a piece of candy every day from the Nooklings. It will replace one of the fortune cookies. They cost 400 bells each.

Yeah part of the fun is going around your villagers houses and scaring them in order to recieve lollipops! Although i feel a bit cruel when i scare them, but i'm overly sensetive so.... Haha!

wow 2013!! thats amazing!! ii just started in Feb. and am hooked!! although ii may have cheated abit bc ii bought the Creepy Set and Spooky Set from someone on here, ii wasnt aware that there was a Halloween Event on ACNL, nor that the event gave the pieces away, bht iam still looking forward to Halloween and the experience with my Villagers!
