My first camper was Olaf.... he's on my island to this day but I wish her weren't.

Mine was Hans. I hated him at first, but now he's growing on me.

Mine was Hans. Did I like him? Nope. I talked to him for a bit at first then ignored him for 2 weeks until he got the bubble.

Mine was Tex. He isn't bad. He likes to sing, and I like listening to him.

huck. didn’t like him at first but he’s a frog and i love frogs. so over the time, he grew on me. he isn’t on my island anymore and i do lowkey miss him

In my first island it was Huck, then when I reset twice after that it was Huck both times again. Needless to say I now do not like this frog

My first was Truffles. Her joker-slasher smile and generally unfriendly and unappealing demeanor led her to be the subject of many memes among my friends and me.

Simply horrific.

I had Leopold. He only recently left, a few days ago, I replaced him with my first amiibo villager, Opal. Sadly wasn't successful in obtaining his framed picture first D;

Huck was one of my first villagers to move in and we became very good friends! He’s so ugly, he’s cute—and I am also a big frog fan, so that helped! I still miss him, too.

I got Graham. I wasn’t thrilled, but it could have been worse. He honestly hasn’t really grown on me, and he is still with me, and stubbornly doesn’t seem to want to move out.

I got a cranky too and I started the game at release, I dont think the first camper is a guaranteed smug... I havent had any smug villagers on my island yet sadly

Yeah I remember when we did a community poll on this a couple weeks ago there were a handful of non-smugs for the forced first visitor. Smugs are definitely favored for whatever reason, but it is possible to get another personality!

Anyway, mine was Zell. He’s still living on my island today!

Hans. He's tolerable. As far as gorillas go, he and Violet are the only ones that I like, but overall I'm just more into the super tiny cute critters so unfortunately he is not staying. I also don't like his interior...

Zell! I like him, so I consider myself lucky I got stuck with him as opposed to someone I hated. He's still on my island, but whenever he wants to leave, I'll let him. He gave me his photo first, so it's special to me

Mine was the business cat... He became somewhat of a favorite and he grew on me even though he is overrated.

Kyle. Not a big fan, he was my second villager to get the boot, but I do miss having a villager that sings all the time.
