Who wants extra slots for villagers??

I would love to have more but only if they added more villagers and maybe even new personalities. I guess it wont solve your issue tho since it means you will need even more space for the new ones lol.

Honestly, this is very low priority for me. The villagers are cute to look at, but not very interesting to talk to. I'd rather them add more furniture, more features, and do some quality of life fixes.

i wish we could have 15 villagers but only if it was optional. having expanded dialogue is also a good idea because it's kind of boring to have your villagers say the same things all over again. the island could also be bigger if they wanted to add more slots imho.

i suppose if they ever add an extra villager slot, that would help solve my personal problem of wanting to add wolfgang to my island dilemma lately lol. really want him but can't really kick any of my current villagers since they're all my favorites :'(

This as actually something I was hoping that the new AC game would bring. New Horizons is a great game but I would love to be able to have 2 more villagers at least.

I like a lot of villager designs so this is a definite yes! Adding more villagers should be optional though. Extra villagers can live in docked houseboats instead of taking up space on the island grounds. I also like how other users mentioned the idea of current villagers having a housemate (the new move-in living in an extra room of an existing villager house).

I don't even thinking having an extra slot to move in but allowing the villager who's at the campsite to actually come out and interact with yours.

I wanted an increased amount of villager slots more before the game released, but I've found the dialogue a bit of a let down as it seems so repetitive. I would be happy with 12 slots (especially if it came with more space on the island, though I don't see it happening) but I'm not as desperate for it as before.

Nah, I kinda feel like this is enough. They already get in my way enough when terraforming.

If however you want an interesting island, I think that's not going to happen through getting more villagers, but instead through nintendo updating and improving their personalities. I would love more distinct characters.

I'd be excited to keep more of my favorites since I can't decide on a "top 10" since I love them all so much, but also I still can't figure out where to keep/plan the last 4 houses on my island 😰

I'd love one more slot to add archaeology prof Dobie to my future ruins area. My current cranky dreamie Avery is the reason to have ruins in the first place, so I can't even switch them.

I'd love more villagers but I would have a hard time figuring out where to put them all! I'd need a little villager apartment complex to stack them all on top of each other, haha!

I thought about this yesterday. It would be a wonderful thing but the problem is that I don't know if I would give up some space for another house... It would be nice if villagers from the campsite could get out of the tent, wander on your island and even stay for more than one day if you allow them to do so. It would make the island much more dynamic!

I think I might like some, although I'm not sure who I'd fill the spots with. I think a neat way to introduce this would be in an update that also introduced a bunch more villagers. Like, 'we're adding all these new villagers, and just in time because we're also adding more slots for them to move in!' - I feel they could make it into a more substantial update that way.

I would really love to have at least a couple more villager slots. The low number of villagers is one of my least favorite things about the game, and a trend that has bothered me in every iteration since WW. I really liked having fifteen villagers back in the first game, but at the very least, I would like another two to round it out to a full dozen.

Currently, I’m missing a smug villager, but I don’t want any of my current residents to leave. And as someone who plays without any additional human characters, my town feels a little emptier than I would like.

Of course, as with all things, I believe that any increase in villagers should be optional and reversible (it should be possible to get rid of a housing plot after an animal moves out). Maximizing enjoyment for everyone is key, and different players have different play styles.
