Who misses the fireworks?

Yeah only the first AC game “celebrated” 4th of July. For that game, that day was the only day other than New Years that you could catch the fireworks I believe. After that game the fireworks show moved to a weekly August event with no mention of 4th of July.

That being said, Explorer’s Day has always coincided with Columbus Day, which IS an American Holiday. While Columbus Day is quickly being replaced or cancelled IRL. Idk if that means it will be in ACNH since it’s not an exact replica of the holiday.

I had watched the summer update video again and it does look like the Fireworks Show is going to be in August. I guess I forgot it was in August in past games, too.

i'm pretty sure they will come back in the 2nd summer update! i don't miss them that much but it'd give us some cool photo ideas for sure

Aren't they adding fireworks in one of the new updates? In New Leaf, fireworks were in late July/August I think, so I'm ok with waiting until then for them! Its a fun way to end the summer!

Fireworks are one of my favorite events/features in older games too, so I'm excited for the upcoming update

I think they were a nice addition to the summer nights, and I liked Redd’s little stand he set up. I also liked how we could add any design it was really nice to see them lit up in the fireworks. I’m hoping that they come back in the update for summer later on. I also liked that they weren’t for a holiday they were just for fun

As others have mentioned, August if fireworks season (besides New Years, lol). The only game in the series that did this differently was GCN AC, that celebrated 4th of July. I'm actually glad they changed this bc it seems very "American-centric". We don't celebrate 4th of July in my country. I know there are glow sticks already, but I'm inclined to think they'll bring more of those items in August.

To add to what I've already mentioned. I hope they bring back fireworks like NL (one of the few events I actually preferred in NL compared to other entries). Mostly because I really liked having Redd's tent there other games had Tortimer
