Who is this ??? visitor?

I am back from a two year long hiatus and I'm disoriented and looking for some help ...

There's a "???" NPC that keeps asking me to help it but I can't find it anywhere.


Does anyone know what this NPC is?


If it helps, I also recently upgraded to the amiibo version of ACNL.

that's wisp! he's the ghost that scans the amiibo cards! you have to walk around a bit and find his lamp on the ground and then take it back inside and activate it.

I think that's Wisp, he's in a genie bottle that's white, follow the voice

pretty sure it's wisp. when you're close enough to him a magic lamp will appear & he's inside it.
